abc music on kings road has a huge range
Woods Music Store within Ottaway's on West Park. They sell pianos, digital pianos, keyboards and sheet music. I went in to buy a guitar for my son. They didn't have what I was looking for in the store. The manager was really helpful, he explained that the store is part of a much larger company and got what I was looking for within a week!

I've been very impressed with the service at ABC Music and have picked up some good deals there.
In response to reading about ABC music I can only imagine that the owner wrote the comment as I've been in there and he seemed to have very little in the way of guitars and if I was shopping for a guitar I would definitely be going to Rock Steady Music
Just heard that Woods music store of Bradford is opening a new piano, digital piano and keyboard department within Ottaway's on west park!
Theres a new music shop just opened on Kings Road called ABC music which has a massive range of instruments and is really cheap. Beats the other music shops in Harrogate - at last a proper music shop!
Banks music is good but charges rip-off prices. Rocksteady and arcadia are small but good. I bought a bass from rocksteady and they're bloody amazing. You can barter the prices on some guitars and stuff. If you want something and you're willing to pay for it then they'll get it for you

Rock, Steady Music is situated on Westmoreland Street, the owner of the shop has even appeared on Stars in their Eyes.
stratford music, at the end of east parade, sells some amazing (and well priced) guitars.
Music Makers - above Austicks bookshop on Oxford Street. Classical type stuff mostly, but they'll order you stuff in. Arcadia - Cheltenham Crescent. Guitars, drums, keyboards (as far as I can remember), decent range of classical stuff too, as well as the more unusual stuff: Bodhrans and what have you. Excellent range of all sorts of music books too.
