Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Club Nine, featuring Dave Newton and Stu Pearson.
club nine
The Lammb is the place to be any night of the week. Worked in Malvern for a while teaching and never had to move from the lamb.Stay on after hours and the legend of a landlord will start showing movies...eg.Brassed off....he also drinks vodka from a yard of ale glass
the con club was great untill upton pikies started breeding and inavding the place with thier white stuff
Well Lighthouse you are supposed to be over 18 but 80% people in there are proabaly 13-17 years old
THE LIGHTHOUSE... really? Yeah you can change the name but honestly the audacity of some people amazes me. The greatest club in Worcestershire they said, the only place in the Midlands for a great night out they said, top quality DJs they said sounds fabulous doesn't it, a magnificent masterplan to bring dance music to the pan pipe playing folk of Malvern. There was only one problem with the plan though...it was b******s. DSB
The Lighthouse now called club 9, well i think u could say its an experience!
well the lightouse or club nine or woteva its called now is alright i spose
The Light house... Club nine, on a Friday night is good, but dont go on Saturday as its just dead, head to Worcester!
the Lighthouse is now Cloud 9 or is it Club 9 - nobody is really sure! well its crap but if you have ahd a few and are in good company its always a laugh!
Lighthouse Bo!! No trainers, but chav pikey twats are ok. You're not allowed to be different either, strictly ben sherman or not at all.
Da focking lighty bo! Focking innit, get focked on 2-4-1 VK ice, fockin' puke up in da toilets, innit, smack da fockin bouncer in da face if he messes wiv yo' bird, biatch!! Lighty bo. Scally (u have to be a member) Just go to Bamboo Thurday nite its bangin
HI DAVE HERE EX-MANAGER OF OLIVER'S. OLIVERS ID THE BEST POUB IN MALVERN BY FAR. FAR BETTER THAN THE LIGHTHOUSE THE MANAGER THERE IS A FREAKY ELIVIS FAN WITH DELUSIONS OF GRANDURE
Go and see Terri and Richard up at Don Pedroes and become a member of madness (no one leaves sober!)
Don't even bother with the shitehouse. It's just not worth it.
fight house
fuck all except for the fight house
The Shite/Fight/Lighthouse. Never EVER go there. It's crap and full of townies.
The Shitehouse lives up to its name but hey, if youre about 3 it gives you somewhere to go and drink!
Lighthouse, boh selecta meh. Actually no, it plays trace and cheese not garage.
The Nags Head, Frogs
there is the new club the light house which is su[[osedly good.
I suppose you mean the 'Fighthouse', sorry never been there and never will.
The lighthouse!! although every1 thinks its crap, it isnt THAT bad! if ur into drinkin, c ing loadsa ppl, and dancing to sum serious choons, then u wanna get down the lighthouse
the lighthouse is usually a way of warning ships away from rocks in this case the name fits. the door policy is unless the manager likes the look of you then you might as well catch that taxi back to town or worcester.the music policy is dictated by a man who worships elvis and that says alot.
the fighthouse oh sorry i meant lighthouse
The Shi... Lighthouse. It's ok I guess, if you like boring house. Or crap cheese. Someone please start a hip-hop club.
Likely, in Malvern.
there is a new club opening in spring lane - by the owners of tramps, so that'll be great really
I DONT LIKE DANCE MUSIC THEREFORE I AM NOT WILLING TO GIVE DETAILS (TORCH thurs
nights worcester)
Scallywags
-Not yet, but there is a lot of talk - and a LOT of opposition.
West Malvern Cricket Club (drink at the Brewers Arms and you'll find out!)
Live Music Venues
Trinity
GHETTO
The rugby club, and the con club are about the only ones....
Nearest big venue is wolverhampton or B'ham!!
The lamb, great local talent...something for everyone
Many Pubs have little circuits of regulars
The Great Malvern Club has the most diverse range of musical events and clientele in Malvern one week you will be listening to a bunch of hippies reciting poetry the next week you wil be wading through a "crew" of chemically induced beaus listening to techno. Look out for the owner he's usually pissed by noon. DSB
con club has drum n bass from time to time but not enought
The JAM at The Lamb on Thursday nights!!! Real talant!
don peds sometimes has bands but if you wat a good gig, go to brum, wolves.
The crown in Worcester, moved to da youthy now and just has punk shit like nerf herder but back in da day there was landmine spring, snub, lostprophets, stampin' ground, matter, spine, primate, decimate, dbh. only decent bands recently have been thisGirl and The Blueprint. it's gone downhill way badly...
There's also the bandstand at the winter garderns if you wanna impovise...
Marrs bar in worcester
The crown worceter
The Great Malvern Club and Malvern Youth Centre have had some really good stuff on recently, especially if you're into dub, reggae and folk and come highly recommended.
The witch pub occasionally plays easy by faith no more but generally only if Martin tilley is there
Don Pedros occasionally. The Theatre. The Youth Centre. No-one good ever comes sthough.
Chasew High School
in the park at the back of the winter gardens they hold lots of concerts and lots of bands play in the winter gardens.
Too young for the Winter Gardens.
bolly and bass monday night's i think ( foley hotel)
Lots, actually. Scallywags, Frogs, the Youth Centre, the Grove (not the school), so on, so on.
Brunswick Arms, go watch Monkey Boy, Puffin, Dead Lock or Snub! they are so great, Not!
BRUNSWICK ARMS FOR SOME HARDCORE LIVE METAL BANDS (INCLUDING 187)
Frogs, Scallywags, The Youth Centre (Albert Road South)
The Nags Head MYC Er . . thet's it
-The Fringe Festival used to be massive with year round events centred on the "Fringe Theatre" (youth centre). After a rather low patch the Fringe seems to be growing again. -"The Winter Gardens" (also known as the Elgar Hall or, by a credulous few "New Space.) Long ago major gigs used to happen here... There seems a possibility of this happening again. -Frogs Cafe, all sorts of things go on there.. - "The Spectater" listings mag (print and online) is good for Malvern area happenings. (http://www.spectater.demon.co.uk) -Lots of local music in a variety of pubs.
The Fringe put on occasional gigs at the Youth Centre and Oddfellow's, Colwall
Lamb Inn West Malvern has lots of local bands. Concerts at Winter Gardens.
Cinemas
Malvern cinima is crap. uncomfy seats screen to small go to worcester
Malvern Cinema, still going stroing with it's 7th year of Titanic showings....
Malvern Theatres show some pretty obscure films sometimes, which is really good becasue not all of the big chains show many foreign films etc.
one screen in the same building as the theatre
malvern theatres odeon vue
One cinema with the worst seats ever
The only good thing about Malvern cinemas is the girl who works there on a Saturday night, she drinks at Pedros sometimes damn she's fine.
no,very very small, films on about 3weeks after put out in big cinemas,in no way compares to wrners in worcester-wow,amazing cinema
winters!
Malvern Cinema, full of old films, never up to date! mainly for grannies
the ciema is so crap its behind time and shit
Malvern theatres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
theres one cinema. plays re-runs of old shit everyone has seen already in Worcester. Currently on its 143rd week of Titanic...
malvern cinema..shows harry potter for 3 months running...
Malvern cin. is shit
if you call one screen a cinema then yes
malvern Cinema is great because of the circle. Better now it has been refurbished.
only just
It's ok, but you're better off going the 8 miles to Warner Village in Worcester. We get all the films ages after everyone else, the screen's too small and the sound system is poo.
Malvern Cinema...hmm. If you missed Charlie Chaplin or Casablanca when they cam out then they're bound to be arriving soon.
Not as bad as people say it is actually
THE MALVERN THEATRE ITS WELL POSH
Malvern Cinema is super but not as Cool or happening as the Warner Bros in Worcester, but then the Council is doing its best to kill all the business in Great Malvern.
the wintergardens is good for films very modern. There is strikes the newish bowling alley which is really good.
I think you mean cinema and why when there's a perfectly good Warners in Worcster
Strikes is for getting pissed and nutting else
remarkable that malvern has a better cinema venue than worcester
malvern cinema will be getting ET soon until then we'll have to do with the sound of music
Really rather lame.
There's Strikes, the bowling alley, in Spring Lane. Which is ok.
Malvern Theatres
The new one in 'The Forum' (or whatever it's called now). Well it only ever shows one film at a time, they ran Star Wars:Episode 1 all summer and it's really small. Are you getting the picture yet?
ODEAN CINEMA IN WORCESTER ITS.....OK BUT THEY ALWAYS TREAT YOU LIKE A BLADER
It's poo. I work there. Which improves it a bit...
Malvern Cinema is dreadful. All the films are far too old and they're on for too long...
Malvern Cinema at the Theatres complex
-Malvern Cinema @ The Winter Gardens Complex, Graham Road. Good that we still have a new screen in Malvern, but the seats are EXCRUCIATINGLY uncomfortable. I would rather travel to Worcester - or bring my own chair. -Malvern Film Club runs occasional screenings (open to all) at Malvern Hills College.
When the winter gardens re-open the cinema is supposed to too, it's a one screen affair with out of date films
