Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)

• There was a place between Treorchy & Cwmparc with a huge building called The NCB House it was the administrative offices of the National Coal Board. During the 1970's the local newspaper The Rhoondda Leader carried a front page article on 'Occult Practices' in the dereclict building...They alleged Witchcraft & Sacrifices had been perpetrated in the old building..Neadless to say it was like a red-rag to a bull for us teenagers who regularly broke in and scared the living Be-Jesus out of ourselves in the dank old shit-hole! • Outside (what was Tudball & Edwards estate Agents) by ther main set of traffic lights in Treorchy square after the Youth club had closed.
• Treorchy junior school playground, where up to 30 of us would hang out.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
