Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars

  • i wouldnt bother..but if you must sugar on a tues is cheap and the odd night at evolve is ok...maybe...
  • Code red is a weekly night held every Saturday at the white horse in Leamington spa. The night is set change the style of the weekend which includes stylish Code Red décor, dancers and more. Lunched in spring last year, Code Red was originally held on Fridays at club mirage. Staying true to its sexy ‘n’ stylish theme, Code Red has become one of the most successful nights in the spa town. Best way to find out is by coming to next Code Red! and to make it even better you get a free shot with flyers!!
  • used to be bounce royal leamington spa coolest student night has been re named! now soul nation is set to take over this small spa town www.bounceuk.com
  • All Leamington clubs are terrible. Sugar is the best it gets though since the music is almost bearable. Avoid Mirage like the plague (it is the plague). Leamington clubs are based on alcohol like most small town clubs, not ecstasy, so they are full of pikeys who try to fight with you on the way home.
  • for the best in upfront dance music with a mix of funky house, trance and breaks then why not try the nights that Residentclubber.co.uk put on, on Thursdays. thursdays fortnightly at Stresa Bar (Regent St) and every Thursday at The Willoughby (round corner from cinema). As well as their new night at the recently refurbed Evolve Nightclub (formerly Breeze Bar & Club / Mirage) in the Tantric VIP Bar (where the balcony used to be). Although over 18's only, no kiddies/chav scum allowed either. Makes for a better night.
  • Rios isn't great but the doormen are sound unlike those at Sugar who are plain rude to you and will turn you down even if you have valid ID, just because you're not wearing 'dance clothes'. I've seen this happen to guys wearing jeans and a t shirt and looking really good but they've been turned down for not wearing dance clothes, ok what are they supposed to wear?! I've not been let in before because i left my id at home even though i was with several other people all of whom had ID, i mean come on!? what's the chances i'm under 18 when i am obviously geniunely upset that i can't find my id and i'm with a bunch of other people who are all over 18 and can prove it. just grrr! The sugar bouncers are on one major ego trip and seem to enjoy trying to ruin people's evenings. Oh yeah, there's mirage too.
  • Mirage is good at the over 18s but if u go to the under u just get acne covered boys watching you shake your ass and then tryin to get wit u not in the slightest bit sexy. Sugars good if you go out in Leam 2 clubs you shud def dress up its much more fun!!!
  • Ocean Bar, Friday and Saturday nights is the best place to go to if you wanna listen to the best HipHop and R'n'B. You've gotta try it. Buy a Fishbowl cocktail and shake your body to the music. All the trendiest people go there. The best thing about it is DJ Zeo who is the best DJ I've ever seen. I can't believe he only plays in Leamington...He plays the best music. He's absolutely amazing!!!
  • Sugar, good clean club
  • You are likely to be REFUSED entry to SUGAR for no reason whatsoever. That is all the explanation we had, 'No reason'. We arrived early, there was no queue, we were smartly dressed. We saw the bouncers refuse entry to about a third of the people trying to get in, including women. My advice is don't waste your energy walking there, go to Rio's or Mirage.
  • er.. have you actually visited leamington this year? Club Mirage is the place to be. Although it has it's fair share of council people it happen's to be a magnet for the millionaire plus clientel. Sugar is also a fairly nice haunt to visit, outside of the major cities of Birmingham and London the small town of Leamington is actually contrary to your crap report doing exceedingly well in both bar layout and the music aspect. So i hereby conclude that you should possibly visit the clubs you are reporting about before you jump to such a derogartory conclusion and therefore deterring potential clubbers to such venues. Sugar and Club Mirage are both doing very well for themselves and will hopefully continue to do so despite such inaccurate and derisory reports such as yours.
  • Mirage has a new bar next to it called Breeze and if your into your slammin hip hop and RnB this is the place to go on a Friday and Saturday nite. You pay to get into Mirage & Breeze so you are gettin good value for money. Clientel in there is abit iffy keep your eyes to ur self and you should be safe.
  • i think that club mirage is the best ever experience . i have always gone there and the music is fantastic all modern tunes and great party atmosphere. the staff are always friendly (especially the cloak room girl wow) !!! its always a good night out and make sure you look out for the specialist nights they are great!!!(school disco). Make sure you give it a chance, you might actually like it i did!!!!
  • Mirage is pretty shocking, but after a fair few shots at the well stocked vodka bar, followed by cocktails at voodoo it can be quite welcome, although only really breeze bar next door until the last half an hour of the night where the dance floor and podiums can be graced in the pit itself!
  • Check out Rios - as of early 2003 it's been refitted, extended and now loads bigger. Better sound system and a video wall too... Still a great party night downstairs and dance music upstairs. Best for Hen/Stag nights and party loving fun types - Not best for a rave or indie music. http://www.radix.co.uk/rio for more info. Thanks knowhere! - Keep up the great service.
  • Sugar is like a branch of Warwick Uni's Union... but still is really cool, can be classy and has decent music.
  • Mirage is the place to go for cheezy '80s and '90s pop. You will encounter sleazy old men and girls who you were sure were just starting high school when you were leaving, as well as a neon desert scene painted on the walls, but it's a lot of fun if you're willing to make a bit of a tit of yourself on the dancefloor. The complete opposite is Sugar, lots of R'n'b and dance music in a setting out of Space: 1999. It's not a bad place but it gets packed and sweaty and more expensive as the night goes on. On the upside there are marbles set into the walls of the ladies toilets which can provide considerable pleasure when you're paryletic and have nothing else to stare at.
  • rios is classy birds after a few pints and a kebab sugar likely to get glassed mirageunder14's options grab a granny
  • good clubs in Leamington? *cough* well if i HAD to choose one place, Sugar, downstairs of course for the hip-hop. way too small though, and full of little tarts and slappers.
  • Mirage is WICKED (if ur under 18 and its a Tuesday night - teen night) U are surrounded by 12 year olds trying to compete in snog contests. Its horrendous! i can safely say that my one (AND ONLY) experience there when i was 15 has left me speechless. I will really NEVER go there again! Shocking!
  • I'd personally go to coventry, but sugar is hard core dance music, mirage is the same except cheesy thursdays and Rios is full of old men and the other extreme! NOne of the clubs are friendly and thery're all full of townies.
  • urm... itd have to be robins well. but thats just cos im underage and im not reely into the typically clubbin' scene.
  • Mirage, Sugar
  • Sugar on a thursday night - dress up in a school uniform and get in free
  • Why does everyone slate the Leam clubs so much? You know you love em...that's why they're full on their best nights. You'll be told not to go to VodBull at Sugar on a tuesday night - but you'd be mad to miss the carnage there!! Similarly Mirage on a Thursday night is cheese on top of cheese, but with bottles at only £1, you'd be rude not to go and have a laugh. Ignore the arsey bouncers, and let your hair down!!
  • Just got to update the view on Rio's. Been there about 10 times now. moved on from Mirage when that got a bit crowded. Great music, cheap drinks and the novel outdoor balcony. Get together with your mates, have a few/lots of beers around the towns pubs, then enjoy a night of piss taking and chatting up girls...
  • Breeze bar/Monroes - Ok by me but I do appreciate its no Gatecrasher. Rio's - undergoing expansion once more and I do like the idea of two dance floors catering for different tastes. Sugar - never tried sugar and this has to have the worst looking facade of any club i've seen, spend some money on a modern frontage!
  • Rio's - The biggest shithole in the whole of Leamington. The bouncers are tossers who think it is great to keep everyone waiting for hours when the place is half empty. Chris the owner who is as dodgy as....... and objects to any decent club that wants to open up in Leamington. He obviously has a few friends on the council and well oils their palms so decent clubs cant open. Generally the place itself..... you pay a fiver to get in, drink watered down overpriced drinks, your feet stick to the carpet, they don't know what air conditioning is so after half an hour everyone stinks and the mirrors have condensation on them. One half of it is ALWAYS shut so they cram everyone on one floor. Oh, finally, there is one decent bouncer in there..... Alvin, took a bullet once!
  • I have to disagree with these bad comments about Club Mirage. I have been going every Friday (gr8 music, mostly R'n'B) for the past 6 months and it's always been a gr8 laugh. Some strange blokes (watch out for the 40+ year olds who are trying to reclaim their youth!!)although in my experience they are mostly decent guys. I've never had any trouble with the bouncers, they only look solid. They're all good blokes. If you haven't been to Mirage b4, I would definetly recommend Fridays.
  • SUGAR! EVERYTIME!
  • The best is probably got to be Mirage although the lads there do tend to look about 15 and the toilets are grotty, the bouncers are dodgy and the music could be better.......
  • mirage..without doubt.suger is pure and utter shite!!!!!
  • Club Mirage is ok on a thursday night, ok so the music is cheesy and so are the bouncers, but you can have a good laugh, good dance and usually see loads of ppl you knew years ago and had totally forgot about!
  • Sugar is a good club for a dance, specially on a Tuesday (Vodka/Redbull £1). Beware of the pretentious Leamington celebrities, they are very precious.
  • WHITE HORSE AND WINSTONS FOR TALENT. YATES FOR THOSE GOOD OLD CHEESY TUNES AND A RATHER NICE BAR MAN. RIOS IF YOU LIKE THAT SORT OF THING. MOO IS THE NEW PLACE-WICKED
  • Sugar used to tell the sad tale of a great club turned a bit crap - however now it's recovering and is putting on some great nights. Go upstairs for hard dance music and downstairs for more chilled-out and funky stuff. Beware the Jeigermeister!
  • if you want a great clubbing experience leamington ain't really the place to go but Sugar is ok. far too pricey but No wanky Dress code, student nights r good and u aint even gotta have an NUS card, avoid mirage like the plague, crap music, dirty slappers and a stupid cue for some odd reason. If steps and s-club r your thing you'll like it. Little teeny boppers a plenty and a poorly designed club with a small dance floor makes dancing if essential difficult to say the least.
  • Sugar = dancey music Mirage = more commercial Rios = meat market, 80s music Options = Divorcees only
  • as i said i'm a rocker . even kelly's is full of skater type hopefullS who wouldn't know motley crue if they smacked them in the face !!! (ps. does anyone remeber warrant!)
  • Sugar is alright, vodka and red bull for £1 on tuesday nights. Avoid Mirage, Rios, and Space.
  • SUGAR: WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, UNTIDY AND THERE IS ALWAYS BROKEN GLASS ALL OVER THE FLOOR AND SEATING! MIRAGE: THE BOUNCERS ARE DIRTY, ROUGH AND INSULTING! GIRLS BEWARE THE BOUNCERS ARE SO GAGGING FOR SEX THAT THEY PESTER YOU FOR AGES!! RIOS: NOT BAD, BUT IT IS OFTEN VERY VERY QUIET IN THERE! BUT YOU GOT DIFFERENT MUSIC PLAYING UPSTAIRS AND DOWNSTAIRS, SO GOOD IF YOU LIKE VARIETY! OPTIONS: DONT BOTHER!!!!
  • Depending on your tastes... If you want to "pull" to the sound of the DJ commanding podium wanabees to "Getchya tits aaaauuhht!" over the sound of 80's trash and the "Grease megamix", you might want to 'chance your arm' in Mirage, or the smaller Rio's. The existing comments on these establishments do a pretty good job. Sugar is a more modern experience in nightclubbing. Upstairs is a fairly vacuous undecorated space with pumping house and trance and can be occaisionally quite good if the numbers are up and the party atmosphere reaches 'critical mass'. Downstairs is small, and decked out a la 'Boogie Nights' with chic vinyl seating and loud 70's pattern carpet. After a few jagermiesters (caution) you might forget where you are and climb on to the furniture to shake your ass to some fine funk / disco / beats and breaks in a crowded yet relaxed atmosphere. You'll find a few splendidly turned out specimens of either sex sprinkled throughout the joint, particularly behind the bars. Regarding what you wear yourself, try and avoid a tucked in shirt or chunky white basketball boots / tight jeans / white blouses / mullet etc. Little known fact - Sugar opens it's downstairs on a Sunday night and it's free. A good place to finish a hectic weekend in mellow surroundings.
  • Sugar, Rios, Options
  • Sugar has to be your best bet but if it's a comedy night out you're after try jumping on a bus to Elkharts (on the way to Kenilworth). Full of over 40s but always good for a crack.
  • don't bother
  • SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's true that a spoon full of Sugar is what's going down in Leam.
  • Club mirage is the best night club in leamington. Good variety of music and always a good experience. Thursday is Student Night (selected beers £1) and Friday and Saturday have a good party atmosphere. Well worth a visit!!!
  • Sugar - Cheapest club to get into on a Thursday night and probably the cheapest - excellent music, even better when the likes of Judge Jules and Scott Bond are playing Monroes (Club Mirage) Filled with students who've just left home and seem determinded to drink their grant in the first few weeks! - only go if you've had enough to keep up with them otherwise you'll get v. irritated Rios - yes - it is cheese city but if theres a group of you out for a laugh get in there!!
  • The only saving grace of Leamington clubs is that they sell alcohol after the pubs have closed.
  • They are all embarrassingly bad. Even the new Sugar club is too small and too expensive for what it is.
  • Sugar, a relatively new club on Tavistock Street, around the corner from the previously mentionned White Horse. A bit pricey, but a good night nonetheless.
  • Club Mirage. Definately under no circumstances go to this club. What is written on this page already is pretty true......... The music, the bouncers and the general attitude of the place is terrible. I personally got verbal abuse from one of the bouncers(no names mentioned) and then had my collar bone broken whilst trying to leave. I also know of many other people who have had aggro from the bouncers there, ranging from just verbal abuse, to bruised ribs and broken teeth. The music is abismal - If your looking for anything remotely dancey then you won't find it here. You'll end up dancing to 'Frankie' or something by the likes of Abba all night, which is good if you like it. The problem being that Mirage or 'Club Migraine' as its currently known as (and DOES live up to its reputation!!!) promotes itself as a dance club. PAY THE EXTRA COUPLE OF QUID AND GO TO SUGAR!!!
  • Sugar - newish club opened on Tavistock Street. Better than Mirage as most people are old enough to drink. Top name DJs on Thursday nights.
  • Sugar - dont try getting in if youre over 30
  • Go down the road to Warwick Uni - The Function on a Friday for cheesy chart stuff, Quench on a Saturday for bangin' trance, Pressure on Thursdays for drum 'n' bass, and if you're really desperate Monday nights is the meat market called Top Banana. If you don't pull there you probably haven't got a head.
  • Club Mirage -utter shite formerly known as Monroes.
  • rio's , options( if youre over 50!)
  • Club Mirage (used to be Monroes) full of nasty scragends guaranteed to pull though.
  • Rio's Night Club

Live Music Venues

  • silxs now do a four flavors of friday...this always is good...the lad who sets it up nos his stuff.. 1st fri of the month HipHop 2nd breaks and electro 3rd funky house and the last friday of the month its the best in drum and bass... this has recently moved from the well and proves to be a really good night! check it out
  • Kelly's has gone through several changes lately, but now has a regular assortment of bands back on their menu.
  • leamington rugby club is good for local bands
  • kelly's is good. also, coxs yard in stratford if you're looking further afield.
  • Cox's Yard in Stratford is the best place.
  • coxs yard in stratford is the biggest near
  • Star and Garter is the best place to go they have wicked bands every monday and thursday and gr8 landlord and lanlady. Staff are the best you get reli sexy glass collectors hu wudnt mind a tip and sum of the the bar men n women are sexy 2 but not as sexy as the 2 glass collectors!!! pop in for a drink sum tym
  • Kelly's, Robin's Well. Both are pretty good
  • for live music the best place by far has to be robbins well!!! down in the basement on a Friday it's drum n bass night, and i'm sure i've seen one of the best DJ's not to mention one of the best looking men in leamington, Alexis Baddeley, there!!! on a Saturday night it's Heavy metal all the way with plenty of space to mosh and headbang till your heart is content!! The live bands can vary between upstairs and downstairs but they are always really bloody brilliant, cuz as we know Leamington Spa has the most young up and coming bands than any where else in the UK!! GO ON!!! Sunday nights at the well are wicked, because it's open mic night. if you have a guitar a song and a voice then feel free to go up and make a prat out of yourself, my Turkish friend Giavanni does every week, he's quite the local celeb because of it!! And you thought that was all...??!! ha ha!! HEIST is one of the most amazing hip hop events i have been to in my entire life. there's live M.C's excellent break dancers, and i do believe the first time i went there were foreign men dressed as farm animals. Quality. so now it's back at the well and bigger than ever as of Thursday 10th February, but they're expanding so watch out for posters or flyers for other venues!!! Phew, so that's enough of that then, incase you hadn't noticed i am a huge fan of the well (plus i fancy the pants off the manager Andy and the doorman Neil!!!) there's a juke box upstairs if you have no taste in music and didn't like the sound of any of the above!!!! i'm pretty sure there's some Westlife for all you Shav's out there!!! the beverages are amazingly cheap especially if you have a yellow card!! all you need to register is an NUS card and £1 in English mobey and you'll get several pence off all your drinks!!! Tuesday night is Pound a pint night whether you are a student or not!!! If you are a bit of a thinker then get there early on a Sunday for the Pub Quiz before open mic night starts!!! personally I've never taken part, being a natural blonde and all i don't think there's much point, but everyone seems to enjoy themselves!! The leather sofas are more than just comfotable, so if you get there early enough be sure to snap one up!!! i reccommend the red one towards the far end of the pub upstairs!!! Ladies my oh my aren't we priveleged!!?! we get two sets of loos!!! yay, go us!!! the bar staff are all absolutely amazing just dont tell andy i fancy him!!!
  • Abandon at Jug n Jester on mondays... usually 2 or 3 bands, went the other day and one band was crap... but the other ws amazing n more then made up for it. Quite indie, lot's of alternative types, which i like and seems to be quite rare in leam.
  • just to update everyone kellys is now reopend and under new managment.landlord and licensee is david webb.been open now for nearly a year and is becoming very succesfull with live bands every week old and new. bands are playing at kellys from as far as wales, coventry, ilse of white, london, playing blues, rock, punk, drum and bass and plenty of tribute bands.bands such as V8, interchange, buzzys drm and bass, scoobies, riff raff coming soon and many others. kellys allso have jamming nights on sundays between 3pm and 7pm.reasonale bar prices and late bar.i think everybody who enjoyed going to kellys should go down and check it out for yourselves i dont think you will be dissopointed. to keep the music alive kellys charges a small entrance fee wich a 100% goes straight to the band.
  • Kellys is open again with fantastic live music check out their website (which is sometimes updated!) www.kellysvenue@fsnet.co.uk or pop in they have listings of who's playing inside. No where near the rough place it used to be, the friendliest place I've ever been in.
  • Isn't anywhere anymore though Genius Breed (class act) play in Robins Well occasionally
  • The Lounge now has live music, including the fantastic Penfold. Try www.penfold-online.co.uk for more details
  • There is always good live music in Moo, Rouge and even The Star and Garter pub in Warwick Place!
  • Oh no, what a bummer, Kellys has closed down! Moo Bar has just been granted a Public Entertainments License so keep an eye out on what's happening there (Dec 2002). There are also whispers that Sugar will have bands on Sunday nights?
  • Not a music venue I know but The Baroque on Clarendon Avenue hosts Ryan Gough's Spa-tickles Comedy Club every other Thursday, a top night out.
  • Robins well has live bands every so often.
  • Well apart from up and coming groups in pubs there are no real music venues. Sure the Spa centre plays host to a few has beens but thats about it unless you count large scale concerts at Warwick Castle.
  • Leamington Peace Festival takes place in the Pump Room Gardens in June every year - lots of free bands, local and from further afield. Brilliant atmosphere but nothing to do with Kelly's - it's organised by a bunch of volunteers. Did I mention it is free..?
  • WHAT MUSIC VENUES?
  • Leamington lacks any kind of live music scene. For the sake of balance I should point out that Kellys do try, but if you are into original material give it a miss and go to the Colloseum in Coventry or the Academy or Custard Factory in B'ham. It's a pity really, because there are a lot of bands in the area that have to travel for gigs.
  • There is no good live venues for original music. Although if you have a love of old white men preening themsleves to cock rock, then you should try Kellys.
  • If there are any they are very poorly advertised. Warwick Uni is ya best bet for bands etc. i saw the JJ72's there about 3 months before they hit big time. Another place for good music is just a bus ride away in Coventry. A pub called the hand and heart also boasts a JJ72 appearance not all that long ago. Also the Colleseum in Cov is my favourite local venue. Never any trouble, nice classy indie chicks and skater girls and not a pair of kickers or a Kappa Tracksuit in sight.
  • erm i don't think so go to Luton lots of rock and metal bands playing all the time (ish)
  • Kellys is excellent. Wednesdays is acoustic night, where anyone can get up and jam using the instruments provided. Thursdays is new bands night, fridays and saturdays usually have the bigger local (and not so local) acts, and cover bands and is open til 12. The levellers played there once ya know.
  • The Tiller Pin, Kellys for the best tribute bands in the area
  • Kelly's Leamington Peace Festival, every summer
  • Kelly's at the bottom of town is an excellent live music venue, with bands on about 3/4 times a week.
  • Royal Spa Centre

Cinemas

  • go to the showcase! big recliner seats
  • not the apollo
  • apollo bottom of town
  • The Apollo cinema in Leam. is really really good now it's been refurbished, it's got tons of screens now and always loads of films showing. And there are comfy seats!!! Awesome.
  • Apollo cinema. Its pretty good but dont show all the latest movies
  • apollo cinemas, its pretty good got about 8 screens
  • appollo 4 is a bit crap they show hardly ne films the best thing about it is it sells ice blasts. if you wat a decent one ur best off travellin 2 cov to the skydome one the showcase one or the UCI
  • Apollo. new and refurbishd looks kinda crap frm de outside but its gud in. Also i dont kno any others apart frm SkyDome or sumthin in Coventry. oh i heard there was 1 underground but im pretty sure they made dat up
  • apollo cinemas, charge far 2 much!!! got crapper since it got set on fire and flooded
  • Apollo Cinema
  • Go to Coventry
  • No, would defo not travel miles to see a film in Leam... The Arts Centre in Warwick Uni, though, is FANTASTIC! Only 20 minutes away...
  • apollo conema, over priced, good popcorn though.
  • Apollo cinema is always good (apart from the white-haired lady there who wouldnt let u get through to see a 15 without proof (even if you looked 50!) But there is ONE good thing about it - his name is Joe Allen. If you want to see some top totty you have to go there and take a look at him. hes got a girlfriend but he cheats on people anyway so go for it! Hes got the loveliest brown eyes and a really sweet smile. Hes truly the most gorgeous bloke i have ever known (apart from my boyfriend of course!) The Coventry Showcase is also a good choice (obviousy not in Leam though). Just dont go there with your boy-racer boyfriend who cuts people up on the way!!! Wind the windows down on the way and listen to Yazoo! - Only You. And if u get bored of that song after its repeated itself about 15 times then try Madeleyne -Beautiful Child. Has 2 be on full blast though or you wont get the desired effect!
  • The apollo. Its not cheap and its small I'd rather go to Coventry Odean, its much nicer and gives student discounts. The spa centre is really cheap for students but its small.
  • well theres only two. robins, part of the spa centre. and the apollo. the robins is a pile of crap cos they only show films a year too late, so i suppose itd have to be the apollo. nothing great about it though.
  • Odeon(formerly regal) - nicely modernised but the sound system still seems outclassed by the likes of UCI's THX auditoriums and they play em loud there! Megabowl is still a good night out and quasar don't exist in l/Spa.
  • THERE IS ONLY ONE
  • Wouldnt bother going to the Apollo - just go to the Odeon - more choice, better nosh
  • The regal is cool, except it doesn't show XXX movies.
  • Nothing like that in Leamington, although there are rumours of a new complex being built soon ::fingers crossed::
  • Cov is definitely the best for this. The Cross Point business park boasts an impressive 13 Screen Showcase Multiplex, a bowling alley with Laserquest, a Burger King, Pizza Hut and Maccy D's up the road. Also a Hilton Hotel, Travel Lodge and Campanile are situated 2 mins apart for those dirty weekends with ya missus or fella,
  • the regal as it was in my day or the bedroom sized royal
  • Try going to the Skydome in Coventry where there's the odeon and a few places to have a drink afterwards!! (if you like drinking, that is!)
  • GO TO SHOWCASE COVENTRY, CUZ APOLLO 4 AINT WORTH IT!!
  • the cinema was flooded in '97 when people were watching Titanic, the whole of lower town was under water!!
  • The cinema at the bottom of town is your best bet although last time I went, it was closed due fire damage. Some rude boy set fire to one of the displays there and burnt the place down! Shold be open again by now though
  • Try catching a bus to the Arts Centre at Warwick Uni if you want a change from run of the mill odeon
  • The Apollo had a fire on 17th April 2000 - suspected arson while the kids were watching Pokemon - and won't be open for six weeks or so. Which just leaves the Regent.
  • The Apollo's a standard multiscreen chain, famous for being underwater during the Easter 1998 floods while Titanic was showing! The Royal, in the Spa Centre, is cheap, but usually either hot or cold, and the projector makes a noise There's going to be a third when they convert the old Regent Hotel, but a lot of people are whingeing about that (March 2000)
  • apollo, regent
  • There's the Showcase in Coventry, good cheap tickets (if you have an NUS) Most of the staff at Regal cinema are moody , I said some not all but the manager is a tosser.
  • Appollo 4 cinema. Newly referbished, used to be the Regal. It was actually the cinema where Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard in Star trek TNG) first saw Star-Wars. Cool huh?

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Leamington Spa. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Leamington Spa.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
