Favourite Building

• Bull and gate, fire station, Assembely House,
• The Vine restaurant and bar - old converted pub with garden
• The Assembly Rooms - looks like the Addams family house on the p*ss
• Forum assembly house maccy ds
• I USED TO LOVE THE KICKERS SHOP, B4 THEY MADE IT BLOODY ICELANDS, BUT I SUPPOSE I I LIKE THE FIRE STATION WITH ALL THE HORNY FIREMEN THAT LIVE THERE.
• The Fire Station on Fortess Green Rd, so square and sixties but festooned in flowers.
• The Assembly Rooms building.
• Kwik Save - The art-deco design above Kwik Save rivals New York's Chryslar Building
• The assembly rooms pub.
• The weird sixties home/studio on Lady Margaret Road, just down from the Assembly House. (Take a peek at the weird Hobbit-style gate & model deer inside.)

Demolish It Now Building

• MacDonalds - the smell from this dump is appalling.
• the whole of kentish.esp-the red and yellow pub,Auntie Annies? its paint job is insulting me.
• The entire high street needs bulldozing and rethinking - especially the hand-job sauna chain who own FOUR properties here!
• The Library....it looks R-U-B-B-I-S-H. And Maccy D's...
• poundstrecher and the lion and unicorn i hate it
• THE JEWISH FREE SCHOOL, DIDNT SUM 1 SAY ITS GONNA BE A NEW SWIMMING POOL OR LOADS OF CINEMA SCREENS??

• Just has to be the gaudy and cheap looking Mc Donald's. Come on guy's you can afford to do it The locals don't like it I doubt that You are particularly proud of it. So do yourself and every body else a favour and do something with it!

The Best Things

• getting the bus outta there.
• Busy, always open, near the parks and canals
• all and sundry that live there..
• Forum Tally Ho, the peeps my mates maccy ds camden is a short walk away everybody who lives there
• THE BEST THINGS IN KENTISH TOWN IS THE SMACK AND CRACK IF THATS WAT UR IN TO (PERSONALLY I DONT TOUCH THE SHIT) BUT THE DEALERS AVE ALL WAYS DONE SUCH A ROARING TRADE IN KENTISH, UNTOLD KIDS ON IT,PUSHING IT OR JUST MUGGING U 4 IT. II'D SAY DEFINATLEY THE DRUGS ARE THE MOST POPULAR THINGS TO DO AND BUY.
• Sun bed's at Lady Rio's...clean, well-ventilated stand up's and best value in London at £1 per 2 mins. First Class Massage (Royal College Street, under camden road train station) if you enjoy non-therapeutic massages. The Italian delicatessen and organic foodstores on Brecknock road (camden road end)
• Kinghts of the Empire
• A Great place to live, with the best selection of decent pubs in any one street I've ever seen. Load's of good eats and shops also from Kentish Town station 15 mins walk too Camden market or 15 mins walk up past the Forum to Hampstead heath. What more could you want.
• The Vultures Perch, The Grafton
• the best thing about kentish town has to be the (now sadly gone) rainbow centre, which was a church...mad people, mad parties, and altogether a fantastic place to hang out. unfortunately, it got a bit nasty and so it was reclaimed by the council and everyone booted out...but when it was alive it had such an atmosphere :)
• Camden feels only a short walk if you love it, but can also feel a long walk if you hate it.
• The Guiness.
• Doubt there is a anything that could be qualified as "best stuff" around Kentish Town.
• Its unpretentiousness. It's Camden without the endless leather shops and hordes of euro-teenagers. It has real shops selling real things. And, thank God, no New Age crap to be seen.

The Worst Things

• chainsmoking teenage girls screaming obscenities at kids, litter, graffiti
• The mess...
• The drunks the murders the druggies
• THE WORST FINGS ARE THE POSH PEOPLE SPILLING OUT OF HAMPSTED AND PARLI HILL .. ON I FOR GOT TO MENTION EARLIER ON.. THE LIDO IS THE BOOM, IF UR KIDS BUNKING OFF SCHOOL IN THE SUMMER THEN UR FIND EM IN THE LIDO.
• Omega Sauna...Damp, smelly, overpriced, ugly and unfriendly "masseuses", loud, young and drunk clientele (probabbly having failed elsewhere) p.s. I only went in the interests of writing for this guide!!
• By god is it scary walking out of Kentish town tube at night and up towards the Assembly rooms. It's like running the gauntlet passed some ghoulish looking folk!
• puke & cans of special brew all over the library in the mornings...
• The muggers and general scarey people.
• A bit like 'real 'life' in places, but still beats tourist-bound Camden.
• Its general air of failure. Empty shops, winos at the shelter by the tube station etc.
