Record Shops
there are none! go to ilford, romford... anywhere!
Unfortunatly Trumps shut down, after i worked there for 5 years, but Ilford has some good independent record shops. There is an urban music shop in the town centre and some asian music stores in ilford lane.
Trumps - Closed down.
Trumps has gone now but the best one was "Vinyl Village"
One Indepent Record Shop which is not bad
Dixie Warehouse used to be called churchstreet warehouse and thats a handy shop
and the bagel shop is good
Unfortunatly not any worth talking about, might as well go to Ilford or Walthamstow.
Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Faces at Gants Hill. The Venue Ilford. For a taste of violence Romford.
None. Try the VENUE in ilford. Heavy!
London
faces
The only club I have ever known in Barkingside was above Fairlop Waters on a Sunday night till 11pm. It was jam packed and excellent even though you could probably only get about 100 people in there!!
There are no clubs in Barkingside and feel that there should be. All we have are the pubs in the local area and that is it. After all the pubs shut around 11:20pm any way and when ever my mates and I hang around down the high street, the local police tell us to move on, even if we are not doing anything
there used to be a club called Oscars at the Green Gate, now a MacDonalds, its used to be a real laugh. The club now called Faces used to be called the Villa and it was much better, full of local people. they ruined it.
NONE, SFA, NADA
Live Music Venues

None try Ilford
The main music venue in the area is the Valentine at Gants Hill, although I belive they do have live music at the King George V in Cranbrook Rd. & at The Unicorn in Clayhall Ave.
A few live bands play in a number of the pubs in the town but you have to check them out first.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
