Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)

  • Morley House Young Peoples Centre 26 West Hendford. Its open for 16 to 21 year olds every Tuesday and Thursday noon till 2pm. You can play free pool, have free coffee, and internet access. Good place just to chill out and the youth workers are really great.
  • has to be the classic outside burgerking, in the town centre
  • The borough always has randomers milling around. The best place is deffnately the beach though, its great on a sunny day with everyone out sunbathing and chatting.
  • Good places to hang out are the cinema, and of course the new BowlPlex (If you want some fun without spending too much money, or without getting drunk, of course)
  • That place of greeniness by the Church. Very nice in the Sumer apart form all the drunken seemingley homeless peeps yelling randomness at the coppa's.
  • The 'Beach'. Yeovil is the only place I know that names the green bit in front of a church (commonly referred to as grounds, or the lawn, or square) as the 'Beach'.
  • thers some good skate spots in yeovil . tescos underground is great...especially on sundays and when it rains. when u get kicked out u can go 2 the majestrates couts and tourist information witha cool road kill gap.there is also a little square pool at mudford rec.all the schools are very much skateable.yew tree is open as is the new skatepark at milford.it is 5 ft miniramp with a escillator and a spine with a 4ft.yeovil is a class place.find places to skate in the quedam by all means but dont blame me if u get kicked out quik!!!!
  • It has 2 b outside Burger King, thats where everyone meets up! U only hav 2 walk past there and theres tons of people stood outside, just waiting!
  • Lysander Park, Many a cold night spent there mucking about.
  • The Beach. Big lots of grass by st. Johns church. Great for sitting on in the summer while skipping boring lectures at college.
  • some blokes wall near our houses it really pisses him off wen we ssit there all night.
  • Goldenstones play area ;-)
  • friday's afternoons at yewtree skate park, or most afternoons. tuesday night at tesco's underground.
  • the hole in the wall is the only "proper" pub in yeovil. no tossers or people who "love" themselves in there.
  • Mudford Rec is maybe where the 12 year olds go, as for being beaten up there thats not true I know for fact its as safe as anywhere.
  • hook up spot mudford reck and believe you me it is muddy. Dont like it though its where every one gets stoned and beaten up.
  • i go to school at bmcs and it is crap.
  • gardens DO NOT HAVE LIVE BANDS ANYMORE! there is no fighting in DUKES, have loads of new pubs, i.e porter black, which is an irish bar, and weatherspoons, and chicago rock! also soon to have yates. gardens is always full of naval lads!!! think u need to update ur website on yeovil
  • On the corner by Burger King (in the borough). Many an hour was spent here waiting for unreliable friends to turn up. That gave plenty of time to inspect the local talent. Also Preston Park for first time fag and booze experiences and any of the benches in the Quedam Centre.

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Yeovil. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Yeovil.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
