Favourite Building
A little hairdressers in Bond St,the barber is a complete nutter,.
WHAT A LAUGH.
TOPSHOP and McDonalds
My favourite building is... probably the church. It's a lovely building, and I spent a whole summer just sitting next to it.
McDonald's, of course.
My favourite building has to be topshop as they have the best clothes out of the whole town
70 Stone Lane - (Home of Richard Croxford)
the police station or the hospital, or even the county council building
stunning
Demolish It Now Building
Good Bean
Cop shop!!
Glovers walk - shite looking.
Oh, and all the nightclubs - maybe it would get rid of the twatty hormonal navy boys!
Yeovil
Yeovil Hospital - it's harks back to the stone age.
If I could, I'd raise that blimmin' Somerfields to the ground. I hated working there.
Burger King. Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgh.
the whole town of Chard!
Bucklers Mead Community School. In fact all the schools in Yeovil. BMCS is boring crap rubish. and I will tell you one thing in some lesson your luckly not to come out in a coma--trust me it is that boring... And MORAL ISSUES AND R.E WHATS THE POINT IN RE HOW MANY PEOPLE IN 1000 ARE GOING TO BECOME VICERS?????? 1 OR MAYBE 2 AND THATS THE STRANGE PEOPLE, AND BUCKLERS MEAD HAS SERVERAL OF THESE.
Maltravers House - a concrete carbuncle if ever there was one.
SCREWFIX DIRCET!
The big white concrete one in The Borough/Bus stop
Reema house
The Best Things
The good thing with living in yeovil is you can get most of what you need here,
but if thats not enough you`ve got Londen in 2hrs,Bristol 1hr,various beaches in
three quarters of an hour and green countryside within mins. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT !??..
Nice totty around on a saturday
Yeovil seems to be swimming underneath drug crime, but the people there are surprisingly happy for junkies.
Having lived in a few other places as well around the country I think one of the better things with Yeovil is the fact you don't have to walk far for a pub! - whether you like Heavy Metal or Dance Music you can probably find something you like.
GAY GUYS DOWN HERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY
The A30 & A37... Why? because they leave.
The Worst Things
Listening to people moan about Yeovil and its residents. Like all places it has a few tossers, But dont judge ALL by afew. Perhaps you have`nt tried hard enough
or you hang in the wrong places or maybe you should go somewhere else.?
NO AFFENSE INTENDED
The bus fares. It costs me £1.75 to get to and from town. What a rip off
Dodgy People...most r my m8 though!
Nightlife!!!!!
The people
Drugs.
Burger King. Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgh. Oh, and the buses. £3.20 return <:-O
warm beer, and thugs in the nightclubs (which are shite anyway)
the bus fares. it costs £1.50 return just to get to town. what a waste of money. with that £1.50 i can by the more magazine and look at the position of the fortnight and still have 5p change
Yeovil town centre, how crap is that. Theres loads of weidos about. And chuwing gum is every where and is stick to the bottom of your shoes. And glovers walk, fucking shitty pigions, and the tramps that hand around in the bus staion. Mind you the bus driver James is not bad!!!!!!
Too many people with limited horizons. There is life outside Yeovil - GO AND SEE IF YOU DON'T BELIVE ME!
And while you're out there, see if you can find a sense of humour, 'coz there ain't any in here!
NOT ALOT OF TALENT, EVERYBODY KNOWS EVERYBODY, RUFF PEOPLE, TOO SMALL, (NEEDS TO BE LIKE BRISTOL!)
everything about yeovil is shiiiiiiit, thats why i am moving to Newzealand.
after spending 16 months over sea's,the, the worst thing that ever happened was returning, and two months was the limit, then get the fuck out again,
there is nothing going on there,ok pubs thats it, but for the younger generation, what is there for them to do ?????????????.
The place is full of ass holes, which can't wait till friday, so they can smash the place up, and fight what ever poor person happens to walk past, after they have had ten pints, great.......
The only good thing they could do for yeovil, is knock half it down and start again, then send all the wankers out to Chard, with all the other no hopers.
my advice is get the fuck out, what a shit hole of a place, but thats my own
thoughts.... i just know i am happier when away from the place, and after 25
years living and owning a house, it's time to go..
I lived in Yeovil until 1995 and I couldn't wait to move out to Bristol. I
still go back at Christmas, and I see the webbed handed, buck teethed Trevs are
still about, still clad in the styles from 8 years back, shellsuits and knot top
hair cuts. Last time I was there one of them walked up to me, grunted at me and
walked away laughing. Fucking weirdos. Well, you see what happens when cousins
marry... Best things are Nine Springs, Acorn Records, Yeovil College...
everything else is bad, first place to be knocked down would have to be Glovers
Walk - how much shit can pigeons drop? The bus station too with that fat fuck
Ivor who drives the bus to South Petherton - is he still there? Anyway, big up
all Stanchester School 89-94!
Everything - the place is a load of bland housing estates built around a fetid core, where the teenage inhabitants attempt to gain some meaning in their small, boring boring boring lives by doing handbreak turns in Tesco's car park.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
Have Your Say...
The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.
You can tell us more about Yeovil.
This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here.
(But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)
You can use the add an event form
to tell us about events happening in Yeovil.
Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
