Record Shops

• I wish-there is horders but that smells of old people. Malls the closest
• Horders, Tesco
• Horders in the High Street - not a vast stock but will try and get you what you want.
• Wish there were a few more record shops here!
• There are absolutely no specialist record shops in Thornbury. Your best option would be to go into Bristol (about 12 miles away) and go to Replay records (under the bus station) or one of numerous outlets on Gloucester Road or Park Street.

Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars

• Due to the local council and the mejority of the population being middle to upperclass boring old farts, clubs in our beloved thornbury appear to have been overlooked!

Live Music Venues

• Caedmon Complex ngm's new £3 million complex includes two state of the art recording studios, dance studio, rehearsal rooms, performance venue and new media studio etc. reflective of the the ngm community which is exploring new rhythms of prayer, work, worship and community life (which includes lots of d&b, progressive, house, trace, etc :D!). Lotaed in Thornbury just after the golf club, this is the Bristol Road. • None specifically. Very occasionally, there may be live music in one of the local pubs such as The Swan or the Barrel or if you are into cheesy, no, gorgonzola'y music, Phil Hobbis does his thing in the Knot of Rope (High Street) every now and then.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
