Favourite Building

• All the old cottages...none of this new stuff
• The houses in and around the Bridge
• The house on the way to Baggy Point with the copper roof. How did they get planning permission? You and I would be laughed out of the Planning Office

Demolish It Now Building

• RUDA!!
• Ruda-yes I know it employs lots of peeps but God, it's ugly Also the house with the copper roof on the way up to Baggy Point. How did they ever get planning permission? You and I wouldn't!

The Best Things

• got to be the surf, sea, sand and cliffs
• the gorgeous beach sexy surfers beautiful countryside awesome ice cream and pubs the riding stables cottages
• Non pretentious locals!!! Those that dont think anyone trying to learn to surf is beneath them in social and intellectual stature!! The increasingly lessening proportion of sound, chilled out, friendly, active surf orientatedbeings who frequent croyde every summer
• When the lifeguards close the beach so you can surf without Grocks dropping in you
• The beach when it gets closed by the lifeguards because it is too dangerous for the H'makers to go in 'cos then the locals get to surf without wannabes getting in their way
• Clotted cream and surfers
• Croyde Bay Holiday Park, they are dead mint. They make lovely food and it's really close to the beach which sports many a topless lady.
• Obviously the only person to have entered an opinion on Croyde, ie. worst thing Ruda Holiday Park etc. (It's in CAP'S so you can immediately see who I'm talking about), is dislexic and thick i) grammar is crap, ii)does not realise how many jobs this company brings into an otherwise quiet but lovely area.

The Worst Things

• Changes, to what was an old village
• ruda holiday park and the chavs that they bring in to the area in the height of summer. trying to park in summer - nightmare crap bus service
• RUDA RUDA RUDA Turned a beautiful spot in to an amusements arcade. Worse still - they own loads of the land around the park- so just wait for it to get worse!
• No Surf and Raw sewage on the beach. Can you beleive some of the Locals opposed a UV treatment plant? Nazis!
• The beach when it gets closed by the lifeguards because it is too dangerous for H'makers to go in 'cos then the locals get to show how to surf without causing damage to life and limb & make wannabees look stupid

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
