shithole skatepark
Small skatepark with quarter pipe, flatbank, fun box, couple of rails, benches. Metal with tarmac floor-unfortunately we have a kiddie problem and little children use it as a playground.
What happened to the 'place specially built' for skate boarders. This was promised in the Parish magazine some time ago?
I luv sk8in, they are buildin a park now down lavander hall lane, (the date is 20/10/01) no shops though, nearest 1 in solihull. there r loads of WACKED hils, from Dale Meadow Clode (full on, really steep, 50mph hill) to Speedwell Drive (slow but steady hill, then steady drop faster than dalemeadow) and The Grange new housing estate (OOAOAOAOAAHAHAHHA... nice, smooth tarmac!!!) thats about it...
Solihull Council are building a skateboard area in the new park in Balsall Common, the entrance is in Lavender Hall Lane. It is hoped to be completed in October
Not known for it. There are some people in remarkably baggy trousers so it is about, just not apparent.
umm, again i wish there was......cause there's loads of wicked little skaters, i used to see in the shop, they deserve somewhere..cause they could be really good, if they had somewhere to practice!
No proper skateboard spots but you can often meet people on them or go to the tennis courts and piss about in the car park there!
balsall may be getting a park cus us ( the BALSALL ZOO ) have been trying for one. there is a smooth tennis courts and the zoo have built a ramp (phat airs produced sick!) we have a angled iron p.e bench and a phat rail so its not radlands but its good and has produced 5 sick skaters as a result.

Nowhere really, just go along the pavements and hope not to kill too many old women. All of the parks (2 of them) are shite for that sort of thing so its best to go out to Cov or elsewhere.

Nearest place is in Coventry.

We don't even have a pizza place, let alone anything to do with skating.
i wish, i wish, i wish! who knows if i have a word with Moz at the sports shop he may get some in....but i'm guessing that it won't be anything like Toymachine or anything decent...so maybe i won't.
There isn't one but there are plenty of people in Balsall who could tell you where to get them from.
Nope. Have a word to Chris Brown, he'll probably sell you his. In fact haven't we got one at the back of the shed? Bidding starts at £10....
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
