Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)
the valley between carnie park and wardykes primary has long been a favorite for pissed up 14 year olds
good old springy park, we love the old bottle of thunderbirds/merrydown by the bogs (we never used the actual bogs for a pee thought did we) trees done the job
we go to the ob's thing on the west port. the cafe projects alright but not much entertainment
We used to hang around Macdonald Park but since we turned 16 (and discovered how much better it is to get drunk in a pub) we vacated the area. Am sad to see that the swings still remain empty
the abbey 5....where skaters/moshers hang...also the valley is becoming very popular with this group.
down the front you will find your typical bunch of "cool" people

Most of the youth in the summer month's spend there time swimming in the sewage riddin harbour. Jumping in front of passing boats (proberly hoping for a fucking ride out of this shithole). It's fun for a while until u catch sum sort of std in the process.u usually spot the guthries there a lot sitting on the benches all day swigging a £1.99 Bottle of white storm still wrapped in it's brown paper bag.
Focus carpark or the Vicky park
when we were younger the best place to go was down the sprigfield park with a mix of alcohol stolen from your parents drink cabenet then down to the bowling were we would pass out in the loos
The Fishies!!!
saltire
There are too few places in Arbroath that is great for people to meet up, though down the high street is as good a place as any. It just really is a matter of taste - I like meeting with friends down the street, some may like meeting at a house or anything like that.
Kids seem to hang out in the car park of Safeways.....why?...dunno?....or the corner bit of the Abbeygate centre....again...why?....dunno?...
springfield park on a friday night with a 2 litre bottle of cider before heading down to the oasis
kirk square
There is allmost allways someone at Radlands(crossroads) to meet.
Okay, the place where the 'chillers' go is the 'Abbey Five' a small set of steps across from the police station. I dont know why they hang out here but they do. I guess its a good place to watch the skating.
everyone hangs about in there fuckin house cos theres no where to go
abbey 5 skate boarders heaven
Nasty skanks of Arbroath you will find them in the many novas driving about Arbroathalways on the 7-11 shift
The keptie pond phone box is the place to meet at 7:30pm on weekday nights and Beand Mike Beatties house on fridays and saturdays
"Peggy's" to collect amunition for "chubby-bunny"
NOT the back of safeways anymore coz they're getting cameras put in (and by the way Craig Mcleoud is NOT gods gift to skateboarding in Arbroath and neither is Ferg who ever said that)
(erm, lets call her Vixy so as not to reveal her identity due to the fact that once you meet her you'll never forget her and everyone knows her one way or another in Arbroath,) Vixy's house would be GREAT for parties if her parents would just go on holiday!
MacDonalds for that all important 'REjects' night out
the high school at 4pm on wednesday the 13th december to catch a bus to go see sir Dave G. of the Foo's!!!
School disco's to watch those frisky young gals get their thang on!
Smithies Deli on Saturday lunch times to partake of a rather fine prawn bagguete!
The Corner Bar (the Craig Cargill section), plus the pitch and putt. Oh and Focus do it all (the animal section for all you SNAKE EYES)
um ... there's a nice little corner up Carnie way where ya can chill out, drink Cider, sniff glue (eh Karen!) without hassle from the old folks
Just behind the war memorial. That's where I learned to savour the delights of fermented fruit. I still can't look a pint of cider in the eye.
There is a major band on the horizon originating from Arbroath called Telescene! They have brought a 7 track EP available from band members Stevie Bell,Lee House Neil Watson and Andy Richardson. or e-mail me 9902820@tay.ac.uk
They rock!
Most Skaters hang out at the New Safeways {at the back where no one can see them}. The Skaters wich are the best in Arbroath are Craig McCloud, Some guy called "Ferg"
Grampian Gardens hang out in the park in the summer time aye!
For youngsters it is the bus station and the west port but nowadays it changes every week.
Probably one of the quieter pubs, don't say they all are, The Ship Inn has a
nice lounge, rustic but comfy and warm. It is situated close to the centre of
town. I can't remember the exact street but hang a right after the brothock
bridge, or ask a local, they will all know it.
the west port, ripe with nutters with nothing better to do than spend all there cash on getting as drunk as asses and and beating one another up(only if they c
can't find a marine to beat up first)
delinquents hang about wasted everywhere looking for trouble and finding illegal ways of feeding there soft drug habits.can the be blamed when the local council spend all there time and (our) money deciding where they will put the next mini roundabout,or stopping new business coming to the town to create more jobs, because they might hamper the sales of any small businesses that might be owned buy local councillors.
A lot of teens hang about in and around the Leisure Bowl - not much fun but there's nothing else to do.
Bus shelters in the town are a favourite hook-up spot for the profusion of teenage druggies and delinquents in Arbroath
Many secondary school kids hang about "pleasure land" in the summer months. This is an
indoor amusment arcade type place has dodgems and Waltzers and the like.
Probably the best place to find Arbroaths youth is on street corners!!
