roof gap college/block behind hydro electric both not for pussies
Alldays carpark in Kirkton
Smokie Skateboards was started in Arbroath by Joe Coil, pretty weird considering we have no spots. But we have great skaters and our own national board company, c'mon Smokie's.
Arbroath has no real street spots to speak of but heres a couple of newer(and older)places not talked about yet,
old safeways - most of the time you'll find some kind of kicker or flat bank set-up.
The High School - Newer hips(tiny little hips) good for a piss-take session,
and a set of 4, 7, and of course the 15.
The paddling pool - this Bright blue painted spot has everything stairs, manual islands, curved curbs, smooth ground, but its only empty for like a week or two a year. Arbroath's best street spot by a mile.
Muirfield School - nice benchs everywhere, small to big, short to long.
hidden half-pipes - a couple of ramps have a been built in arbroath, but where?
P.S. ferg now lives in perth and is hooked up with East skateboards, savier shoes and woody's.
emmm, il c u at the crossroads, hint hint. and apparently the abbey 5 for acadmy shams
There all shite!
Abeygate 5,not much else
THERE AINT SHIT IN ARBROATH WORTH SKATING UNLESS YOU MAKE SOMETHING. UNFORTUNATLY WERE ALL LAZY CUNTS AND LEAVE ALL OUR STUFF FOR THOSE WANKERS AT THE COUNCIL TO REMOVE AT THEIR LEISURE AND PLEASURE. HAPPY SKATING PEOPLE.
Radlands- has some stairgaps, a mad wall gap and a few waxed up ledges
The factories were good but now they are gone due to illegal activities!
Not many spots worth mentioning this town sucks!
The latest sk8 spots are that the Radlands is back in business also theres alot of sk8ing happening at the highschool.
The main spot to skate is 'Abbey Five' you will catch a skater there almost every day. Safeway is okay too, a couple gaps, manual boxes e.t.c. Other than that, you need to travel to find anything good. This town is home to many fine skaters though. Ferg, who one the 'beast of the north east' award at stoneywood last year, and Davie T who has recently hooked up with Concave boards. King, Poe, and Mac are all good too. Definately worth watching. And Fuck CRAIG Mcloud, he would rather smoke dope than skate.
Kirk sq,Abbey gate,Library
the paddling pool when its empty
the mini road place across from the fat pillocks place
the factory-wrecked by 'casuals' but still ok for skinning up
the pendy, next to dukes cafe
the Abbey gate '5', basically the 5 steps next to the police station(note: not a good place to sk8 if you are stoned)
the radlands/crossroads, good place to dicard your empty bottles...
Radlands (now renamed by the youth as The Crossroads)
Front
Paddling Pool (when empty)
The track.
Back of old safeways a ramp has been built.
Back of new safeways diddly squat has been built.
um, high street.
Yer Maws cleavage!
The New place to catch Skaters is the new Safeways ( at the back where no one sees them ) The best Skaters here are Craig Mcleod and some guy called " Ferg". Catch them at the Abbey "5" and the Back of Safeways.
Most skaters I have seen hang around the market area.
The Abbeygate '5', The 'paddling pool' and the college.
Any major road with loads of traffic in the town really!
The Park- Cool for kids
Loads of banks. Start mellow, go round corner to vert
Skateboard Shops

Angus Bike Chain doesnt sell anything to do with skating anymore
Flipz skatepark has good stuff though

Flipz has one I think, otherwise through to Dundee to the edge.
The new Flipz Skatepark operates a shop on the premises selling boards, trucks, wheels etc, clothes, bags, helmets, etc and you wont find better prices elsewhere so check it out.
smokie boards rules!!
ozzys they sell really smart stuff
"Ozzy,s" or cowboy Steves "Angus Bike Chain"
The new skateshop recently open in Arbroath is OZZYS it,s in the highstreet so go if you want to buy loads of cool decks and truck and other sk8 stuff. ( THIS IS FOR SK8ERS ONLY SO NO SHAMS R ALOUD ) Also Billy Boyd who works there is a hiphop artist so if he,s working ask him about "birds do it b's do it mc's like we do it."
New store Ozzy's just re- opened on the high street, its just the same as the big store in Dundee but on a smaller scale. They sell boards, shoes, clothes and everything else a skateshop should, the word on the street is they are starting their own team too. There is always ABC too. It is a bike shop, but silly Steve will do anything to make money, so he ordered some boards , bolts and shoes e.t.c. Don't let him fool you with his fake knowledge.
