Sports Clubs and Facilities

• There is a new Sports Centre being built - due to be opened hopefully before Christmas 2004. This is at the top of the hill in Townstal, just along from the BP Garage, on the old Naval Helicopter Station Site.
• Lots of clubs that the locals use, but always the same old faces.
• Dartmouth United FC play in Townstal as you approach Dartmouth from Totnes/Kingsbridge direction. Stoke Fleming CC took over from Dartmouth CC as most of the players went there when Dartmouth folded. Dartmouth RFC club house in Roseville Street. Dartmouth Angling Club, Dartmouth Rowing Club, Dartmouth Amatuer Athletics Club, lots of sport to do.
• Dartmouth United FC play in Townstal as you enter Dartmouth from the Totnes Road. They won there League for the past two years. Dartmouth has a Rugby Club, Angling Club, Athletic Club, and most of Dartmouth's old Cricket Club wen to play for Stoke Fleming and Blackawton.

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
