Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Leyland is ok but need to move out of the area for more than 2 yrs to realise how clique pubs in town can b!. Go 2 Rose and Crown in Farington @ weekend, its much better! And i live in South-west 4 6 yrs now!
clubs?HA.lol.id say the fox n lion (refurbished lookin slightly weird with the neon lights, the roebuck - more like a club now on a weekend or for the oldies - the gables.
I wish! Ull hav to go into Preston sorry.
The best club in PReston (none in LEyland) is The Warehouse!!
i had a dream that the library got turned into an o'learys bar.
Not allowed as the customers of the Fox and Lion / Roebuck cannot drink more than 2 pints of lager before they want to fight everyone so the plod wont allow them to open
No clubs... we're down scale for those sort of things
Leyland does not have any Clubs.
The nearest clubs are in Preston five mins in a car or fifty on a train.
Live Music Venues
i rememba the discos they did at the railway pub - flirt with the doormen get in free!st marys club (broadfield drive) is good for a fair few gigs!quite cheap 2!
Chorly comunity centre has 4 bands playing every saturday from 7 till about 10(neer the bus station)
THE FOX & LION (QUALITY ESTABLISHMENT!!!)
THE SHIP INN
THE GEORGE THE 4TH HOTEL
THE ROEBUCK (FAIRLY SHIT!)
Try the Ship Inn. They get some great bands in playing proper live music and the landlord is a live music enthusiast.
nope. kaeoke EVERYWHERE on a sunday tho. oh, and the occasional band on at the george or the ship, but i wouldn't call it music
Leyland doesn't have any music venues as such, just pubs, to see a band, you ould nornmally go to The Mill/Dance Factory in Preston or Student Union etc
The Worden arts centre is the local muso hangout cool bands play at this reasonably big venue frequently.
Cinemas
miles n miles away is preston town itself - where is r own cinema?
or u cud go to c'est tou on wordon park
Yeah rite
Dont have one go to the Capital center to watch a film. Remove your car radio first!!!!!!
no cinemas
To see a film, bowl or such like, you have to go to Bamber Bridge
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
Have Your Say...
The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.
You can tell us more about Leyland.
This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here.
(But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)
You can use the add an event form
to tell us about events happening in Leyland.
Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
