Skateboarding Spots
Leyland market is mainly a hangout spot for chavs and wannabe gangsters now, really not worth the hassle going there in the evenings although its ok for a sunday daytime session.
Steep flat banks at the westfield centre on west paddock (next to the council offices) have now got a long rail blocking the main bank.
Faber on school lane has become a bit of bust, mainly due to some skaters thinking its ok to vandalise skatespots.
Back lane school no longer has the 9 set, but they have improved the banks, which now go right up to the wall.
Theres a small skatepark near the library at clayton green (right nest to the asda) Mainly transition, poor layout and that horrible plasticy surface that slips at the first thought of it being damp, gets quite busy at weekends, certainly not worth a trip if your not local.
Plenty of stairsets gaps ect dotted around the various industrail estates in the area, however in many instances security dont take no shit.
Banks round the back of balshaws are no longer there, nice set of manny pads and super wax'd curbs at b&q
Farington school has a 2 and a 3 set and a couple of benches not much run up and the stairs though but some nice flat ground.
tesco can not be used as a skate spot anymore as there are no skate boarding, bmx... etc signs up now, so you get kicked off within 5 mins. there is a nice 5 set at the market though
Macdonalds, Tesco Midland bank near the market
Balshaws.. has a few banks round the back and a small one that can be used as a mini fun box.
Commercial museam car park has a slideable wall, with a nice gap at the otherside.
Junior school on balcares road... playground littered with benches
-Majestrates courts has a huge rail but also some small steps and some more round the back.
-Faber design has a monkey of a three stepper and a kinda wall thing. It's situated on golden hill lane opposite brindles store.
-The old st mary's church on warden lane has a curb (which i waxed) and a really smooth carpark.
-Mc Danolds has a lot of curb islands?
-Runshaw college has a huge bush gap thing round the side on the left carpark and some steps and blocks and stuff.
