• Jive has returned to Burtonwood. There are new modern jive classes held at the community centre at Green Brow Lane every Sunday evening. There are new dancers as well as accomplished jivers to dance with. Everyone is welcome and it only costs 4.50 for the whole evening, including 2 lessons and loads of 'freestyle' practice time till 10.30pm. beer is cheap too!!! Call in to see what it's all about.

• I remember the Casino back in 1950's and the Pelican was a great hang out for the GI's.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
