Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)
bandstand is a great place in general

The bandstand, every rider/skater imaginable is always there, rippin the place apart!
Ocean plaza and the fair are good places for finding birds.

The calvins used to hang around the Esso garage in Churchtown (until it was recently demolished to build a tesco).
The corner of McDonalds is a popular spot

Southport consists or mainly annoying 'scallys' who hang round on street conrners thinking they are 'the business' All you need to do is give them a quick slap and they soon go away
the fair where all the youngens meet their mates and try to be 'ard!
Hilside Rugby stand, Hillside field
Outside Mac Donalds, great haunt for the those who are hitting puberty and have lost all sense of what fun is. None of them ever go in to buy anything, but that doesn't matter, the coolness lies in 'just being there'.(apparently).
Street corners are where everyone hangs out, usually. Often touting for business but always making a nuisance of themselves for no reason other than there's precious little else to do. Urban decay is rife in this city and evidence of this everywhere.
Make sure your spanky white trainers are well polished and that you're wearing the latest in designer (read: cheap) sports gear, often to be found for sale in B&M Bargains bargain bin.
art center: local band night be4 it starts, loadz of punkz n stuff hangin.
Hillside shops , The Rugby stand , 14 Grosvenor Road , 64 Dover Road
Aw Gaad, the slippery slopes concrete skatepark has been demolished.
There are BMX trails but not very good ones.
Some arse is trying to get an outdoor skatepark up and running, it'll probably be rare unit cack. The ass in charge is an ass.
The new seawall is pretty good for skating/riding.
Scarisbrick! Not scarasbrick!
Scarasbrick Hotel - more bars, restataurants, themed bars and snack bars than some small towns I know!
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
