Eleven (brill skating shit), T.K.Maxx (they sell some cool jeans).
All the usual, but TK Maxx anywhere is full of bargains.
SAVE THE CHILDREN! such a beautiful dress - £2.50 baby! pink boob tube - furry trim! snazzy
competitive edge clothes shop in cambridge walks now stocks Armani, Versace, D+G, Evisu, Fake, Stussy, DSL 55, Wale adeyemi, Paul Smith.
Its probably one of the best most allrounded designer clothes stores I've ever been in. I was in Covent Garden last week and a shop assistant remarked how he liked my jeans, he asked where I bought them from I said Competitive Edge in... he butted in and said Southport, yes I shop there myself when visiting family in Liverpool he said. So the shop can't be bad if the've heard of it as far away as London. Oh and the new collection of Buddhist Punk is truly inpirational.
elleven damn it.
River Island, Mosaic, Topman, E11even
mosaic opposite mc donalds, topman or river island.

yes and co, great for those summer bargins
topman - all that trendy shite
Some good, some bad (bit like the talent really) 'Bon Marche' on Lord street appears to be a favourate with grannie who love nothing more than to argue over angora sweaters, then insist on a discount, 'because were pensioners don't you know'....
For good clothes try Competative edge (cambidge walks)snobby staff, and highly over priced, but good quality stuff.
First Sport is the best sports shop in Sowie cos the staff are great (especially Tucky) except the manager (eddie)!
Clothing shops is where Southport surpasses itself. The only requirement being that you're over 75 and have no dress sense. Failing eyesight is also a bonus if you're planning on shopping here.
TK max, arcade sport, air
Competitive Edge is all gone closed n packed up.
Topman
Bizzaro - all the girls shop here, not too expensive but does sell morgan crap!
Competitive Edge - Ted Baker, Rockport, Henri Lloyd - best shop in town by a mile Peak Performance - skateboard clobber and surfing gear(even though Southport is 300+ miles from Newquay!!)
Mr Smiths on Lord Street has good M & S seconds for a fraction of the price.
Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)
pleanty of art shops in town center..
sad art gallery which nobody ever goes to
There is a few art gallerys and a few craft shops. Not many though.
Southport Arts Centre
The antiques arcade on Lord Street is very good, you can spend ages in there just browsing
isis is a brilliant shop for all sorts of arty crafty stuff also cool cloths jewelry and ornaments and the odd sword and set of taro cards very cool shop
to find it go down towards morrisons from the train station thers a little road on the right hand side folow this and you cant miss it its the one with the exelent selection of stuff in the window and the incence out side
also thers a new gallery just off shakesper street near the level crossing
some contemporary some traditional stuff well worth checking out especialy if you are looking for a gift with a unique flavour its run by a lady called kathy who also teaches art so if you are interested in taking a class just pop in an ask at the gallery
Isis on wesley street
Atkinson Gallery always worth a look.
Pity the council don't use the web to tell you what is going on more or where.
Art Center
The art gallery next to the town hall and the fountains
The Arts Centre - Beware of strikingly ugly moshers!
The Atkinson Gallery on Lord Street is a fine Victorian building with a pisspoor collection of largely mediocre art. Presumably Sefton Council are too stingy to buy anything decent.
turners is good quality n you get a discount of your a art student with NUS!
Bizarre little shop down a tiny alleyway near Monsoon and Waterstones on Lord Street. They sell sea shells, posh rocks (onyx eggs etc)and really old records (big black 12" disks, DISKS I said)
Arts Centre is brilliant - and the arcades in the area have small gallarys too - well worth a visit!
Wayfarers Arcade Lord St has some great shops
Magazine and Comic Shops
Planet Eater on London Street
Any shop that sells the local rags. They're always good for a laugh.
WH smith, fourboys
There is a comic shop at the back of Sainsburys, opposite a pub called The Guest House.
