Clothes Shops, Shoe Shops, Fashion and Bargains
The shop next to the Catalogue Centre has some superb garments in it. If you want a t-shirt with a photo of some womanly assets on it then that's your best bet.
Great charity selection for the discerning fashion cool.
Dorothy Perkins (I AM JOKING).
just the normal high street shops
Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)
I have just discovered a fantastic craft shop in Oswestry. Its off the beaten track - down by the Cambrian Railway Museum. They have a huge range of craft materials for cardmakers, scrapbookers and beading with lots of lovely samples pinned on the wall to give you inspiration - well worth a visit!
We've just been to NEDDLES AND PINS in Oswestry - the new Lady owner of the shop is really great and very helpful. We new that a new owner had it as her picture appeared in the Local Newspaper as one of seven most popular places in the town. The lady has alsorts of goods from wools to cross-stitch and other things. I recommend that everyone goes just to see what she has.
Try Oswestry Indoor Market, theres a cool store selling crystals and like
NEEDLES AND PINS! my mum was the owner lol but she had enough of it, i heard the owner now is crap.
crappy qube, go 2 shrewsbury for galleries
centre north west
Rainbows End, by the back entrance to Boots and opposite the main Pay and Display, is choc full of cute candles, soaps, placemats, cushions, essential oils, jewellrey, cards and some clothing. It's on two floors and is one of the best places to go if you're looking for a gift (for a male or female).
Another good place for gifts (mostly just for women) is the little bag and purse shop opposite B-Wise and Wilko's - there are some really pretty things in there.
Earthlink stocks all sorts of unusual items, again good for gifts, has a very nice selection of writing paper and envelopes, bought by the sheet.
uhh - memorial hall
The Heritage Centre - tourist information with coffee, snacks and art
Chap in the barber, up by the cross roads is quite useful, has the odd exhibition.
Textile Express. Probably the best supplier of "end of roll" fabrics in Britain
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
Have Your Say...
The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here.
(But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)
You can use the add an event form
to tell us about events happening in Oswestry.
Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
