Skateboarding Spots

• bottom of ravine hill- hill-thing and ledge basketball court up west avenue-a grind rail and a slide rail west avenue car park- very smooth tarmac and some waxed curbs filey school muston road- entrance- 3 set -near cage-2 3 sets and a rail -in between cage and tech department-benches -between cage maths block- smooth tarmac -near grass verges-stair sets inc.12 set + benches -near pool-ledges and smooth concrete
• The end of Filey Brig.
• Deepdene flats roof.
• Private walk was good when we were lads in the 80's - but you had to leg it sometimes
• Cargate Hill offers a good run ...into the sea if the tide is in
• The seafront just to arse about, any of the hills leading down to it if you just want to trundle along (Cargate Hill & Crescent Hill only if you're dead hard and not scared of sudden oncoming cars)
• Down Filey Brigg?
• Arndale. (yaght club road) Stop before the steep bit at the bottom otherwise...........
• Carrgate hill would be a good start(watch out for the railings at the bottom) Ravine hill next, (has a corner at the bottom and cobblestones to make it interesting) When you've mastered those try Cresent Hill (vicious hairpin at the bottom and cobblestones all the way down)
• Fisherman's hill- if ya dare!
• Filey school on the common room roof.

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
