Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)
right, the square is THE place to hang out, and cant believe no-one mentioned it yet!
even if not inside it (i mean, does it go in the venue section?)
then outside is just as popular in the day - kids waiting for a gig, people recording inside, etc etc. its like the halfpipe of music!
harlow skate ramps thats the hook-up
clifton hatch aint fulla dodgey peeps maybe a few loser schoolboys but dats bout it! no1 else gos there! go 2 either staple or town cntr!
harlow town park
Pick a park bench
Hook-up spots include outside the town centre MacDonalds for idiots (ie; usually so many people milling around you can't walk through), the cemetry for thick-sh*t fourteen year olds who think they're goths (fakers, I saw Bauhaus...touch my robes), Cambridge for all the intelligent fans of good music who need to escape, and the town park toilets for...er, no, I'll leave it there.
anywhere where theyre r no pyschos, if thats possible
The Harvey center is a must for all those to young for the Harlow "night life"
many happy hours spent watching the boys set off small fireworks and egging cars from the car park roof!!!!
Kingsmoor school playground and feild is full of horny teenagrs after 7.30pm discovering vodka, so if your not doing anything and feel like being taken back to your youth thats the place to be.
Plenty, if you like goofing! Young teens can hang around the car park in their dozens or (as on one occasion) hundreds damaging cars and forcing wheel-spins on their best mates' white Ford Escort with the stereotypical and obligatory spoiler on back which they bought with their lowered suspension, loud radio and furry dice.
The Log in East Park, also known as 'Bonking Log' due to the things that used to happen there after dark.
The Books outside the cinema in Harlow Town. The best place to meet.
stewards school come night time is where all the local staple tye crew hang
TOWN PARK..If only it were Summer again and the rapists where gone!
Town Park! Its great fun in the summer!
don't try hangin round the ski slope - its deserted , cold, miserable and disappearing fast.
Try the Willow, it's been better but al least its open till 12
Theres loads of really mature boys that hang around joynersfield park! walk past them at night and you'll get chips thrown at you by one of the really mature boys showing off to the little school girls!! great place to go if you want abuse thrown at you too!!! DONT GO THERE!! EVER!!!
Mark Apollo. Up in Lon-din a fabled 'arlow DJ
The Garages behind Broadfields and along-side of Greenhills est. All the local youth meet in there for drug exchange and sex.
Sega world, inside the Harvey centre, Baby in one hand, cigarette in the other. Or a nice local bus shelter, with some cheap cider and a marker pen.
since the new Staple tye has replaced the concrete beauty of old, there is now a more cosmopolitan
feel to the place where now all the skanky no hopers sip coffee and eat sausage sandwiches(obviously to keep in line with european trends.
harvey centre, ski slope, local shops, parks etc, are all the local "places to be seen" when you are in your early teens, trust me been there done that as they say,(i know i shouldnt have admitted that !!)
The first floor of the Harvey centre. Where you can gob on people
It used to be Staple Tye but they bulldozed it a few years ago. Town Park is always a good place though.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
