Clothes Shops, Shoe Shops, Fashion and Bargains
The new water gardens developement has attracted alot of interest. it includes Matan, TK Maxx, ADSA (George), Topshop, River Island, Peacocks, Sports World, Next...which runs into the town (New Look, Etam, marks n Sparks, Dorathy Perkins) and the illustruious harvey centre - ugh.
all girls stuff or things for gay nob jokies
There are no decent clothes shops in Harlow. There is Whitehouse and AND for designer gear....but thats only crap designer gear that has been bought as a job lot from North Weald!! I dont think any of the owners of these shops do such a thing as go Buying in Milan!!!!! Then the usual high street chains. Someone needs to p[en a top end designer store for the older (23+) generation in the town
GET OUT OF HARLOW, IT IS WRONG
Oh my dear Lord! Peacocks are coming soon... and I've agreed to move to Harlow to work there. Look out for some great clothes...seriously, you will be surprised! www. peacocks . co . uk
Warrens guide to clothes will take you to the newly opened tk maxx,s where you will rub shoulders with various pikeys buying wife beaters and leggings for the fat lady pikeys whose arses resemble cottage cheese in a binbag
Mattalan and TK Max are good plus lots of poncey shops for trendies such as River Island
BIGGIES (big worms) or tk maxx
bigworms
Big worms, and Punkass.thats it really, unless you want new look
klub ii,
In letchworth herts, goth shop called sinders, wicked
fair few clothes shops to buy skate gear for those who do it to be "different" even though its the norm now
Lots of townie stuff, and not much more. One tiny head shop run by mad hippies which sells alternative t-shirts and some OK silver stuff. North Weald market down the road is good for fake labels and trainers made in Far Eastern sweat shops (in other words, 100% genuine Nike). NW market also has a good army surplus stall doing proper combat trousers and nice big boots for £13.
New look- ha - u know it!!!!!!
What Clothes Shops - O you mean New Look (The seconds reject shop)or Select (New Looks rejects Shop). NO WE DONT HAVE ANY DECENT SHOPS!!!
The fat bird shop 'Etam' is great for tents if your a fat bird.
Check out Eric Glanvills for Men. Full of Armarni, Evisu and Gucci.
Big Worms sells boys clothes, Punk Ass sells both and is good just very expensive!
Crappy
oh my god we need more, how can us ladies show off our sophistication??? Mind you the boys don't exactly make an effort.
Not enough 'fashionable fat bird 'shops.
etams, new look, select, bay trading, river island, next and a small hideous shop selling tacky shiny things called GB's!!
there are some good shops in harlow but as i have worked in at least half of them i know that we get all the left over stock that doesnt go to places like lakeside etc which is a shame!!!
Klub2 + Eric Glanvilles for designer mens clothes
Erm, yeah, if you like sports shops!
Eric Glanville sells decent designer menswear. Whitehouse sells standard 'bloke' fashions, Bens Shermans and strides type thing.
River Island, Next
Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)
The range is good for getting canvas boards and paint brushes etc.. also the candel shop in post office walk
candlerama
Loads of sculptures by Henry Moore and others which are constantly being vandalised by the local holigans
nothing good around, youd really be best going to the tate modern or something like that...
Incredibly, Harlow has a few million quid's worth of sculpture - including Hepworth, Riley and Moore - but most are badly vandalised. Craft shops open up and fail most weeks.
The Playhouse Theatre - Back on its feet now. Was Going to close down for a while but it is now winning lots of business awards and is in rehearsals for Dick Whittington......Again......Should Be Fun?!
There is absolutely nothing in this town for the more cultured, though it does have a museum! A visit to the museum shows how harlow came about. It is not big, it is signposted by the council yet when you arrive it is as good as a shed on a wasteland. You come out of there hating Harlow even more.
harlow has dedicated itself towards developing the arts, including graffiti arts(but not tagging or illegal graffiti since dot)and i can prove this as i am the councils resident graffiti/street artist!and have done some really good work with young offenders/youth groups from harlow through to europe and am actually bringing down the amount of illegal writing in the town!
the candle shop in post office walk is cool.
Silver Scents, nr the Playhouse. Caters for the students.
art...yep. We've the highest concentration sculpture per capita per head here ~ Henry Moore, Auguste Rodin ,to mention but a few. All locally and easily accessible. Not that the locals really appreciate it though..
there was once a statue of Henry moore's family group in the square by the library,
until someone kicked the baby's head off, thus launching a national newspaper frenzy.
the culprits were never brought to justice which was cool because one of them is my best mate.
Capricorn 2. A mad shop in the Harvey centre. Anything like candles and stuff.
Candlerama in Post Office Walk is an excellent new Candle, Oilburners and the like, Shop
Not really Harlows better for pound shops!
Silver Scents - Harvey center. Spend my whole life in there.
