• AVOID BARTON STREET AT ALL COSTS
• Gloucester-Ugly,pig ignorant and ill-mannered people. Huge inferiority complex when comparing themselves with Cheltenham,and very aggressive towards anyone with a different accent.The natives are mostly inbred, and cannot spell or speak coherently. Crap shops,crap clubs,a rugby team(big deal!).Claims to fame-fuckwits who run after cheese,a mass murderer,an al-qaida suspect(allegedly!)and that's about it.Loads of history, admittedly,but I would imagine the Romans would be turning in their graves if they could see this hell-hole of a place now!

• The Cheese Roll!! Undoubtedly the best place for Matsonians who feel no pain. And Americans who think its 'quaint', or 'cute' or, worse still 'real traditional'. I can't stand those perversley idiotic hamburger eating waddlers. A crowd came into the dick witt the other day and told me they were visiting where there ancestors came from. White City!! Morons. Worse still, when I said I came from the forest, they suggested - with no hint of sarchasm of mirth - that we might be related! (aparantly because some of their other 'ancestors' come from there). I suggested in return that the fact that we had no surname in common was probably not an indication that we were not related, but they failed to pick up on my ironic English tones.
• Gloucester is a bit funny really.Some great places on the outskirts,with houses in the more rurual areas going for 500 grand upwards,a population that seems to grow by thousands upon thousands every year and a university to be proud of.Unfortunatly although only being 10 miles in distamce cheltenham is miles away from gloucester in terms of nightlife,eating out,peoples behaviour and the shopping arcades.Gloucester council put their taxes up this year but they need a kick up the ass because the city center should be so much better cause at the moment it looks like iraq!!

• 'elle-A' GLOUCESTER'S TOP GIRL BAND 'STEAL THE PRIME GIG IN THE COUNTY. After a very successful run of Gigs around the county, top Gloucester Girl Band 'elle-A' have scooped one of the Top Gigs in the County. FAIRFORD ROYAL INTERNATIONAL AIR TATTOO main live stage will be rocking to the sound of 'elle-A' on Sunday 21 July at 1.00pm for a one hour set from the girls. There is an expected 100,000 people from all corners of the world expected to trawl throught the Air Show over each of the 2 days but the hi-lites of the Show will be on the Sunday. Tickets at £25/30 available from RIAT at Fairford or selected retailers around the county. See Billboards for info. People of Gloucester recently has a taster of the Girls 'Live' due to their stunning OUTSIDE performances on Gloucester City Center's famous 'Stone Stage' in the middle of the City's busiest pedestrianised shopping area last Saturday 6th July where 500 people stood and watched a stunning impromptu 2 sets live show from the girls for free and previously at the Gloucester Stadium Jubilee Concert some 2 weeks before where they stole the show completely... !!! you now have yet another chance to see GLOUCESTER'S TOP GIRL BAND 'elle-A' performing live . Dont miss this chance to see what has become the best critically and publicly acclaimed Girl band in the county. 500 people in Gloucester last week all agreed that they were 'Brilliant' in every way. It's getting bigger and better for them every week.. What next we wonder ????

• CATCH A TRAIN OR BUS EVEN AN AREOPLANE AND GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!

• There is a remarkably good Mortgage Adviser who trades under the name of "The Mortgage Practice". John Constant can be contacted on 0800 0199399. All sorts of mortgages can be supplied apparently.
• CHeltenham is so much nicer- gloucester is a magnet for DSS types
• Gloucester is also the home of one of Englands top class Marching Bands The Stateside Drum & Bugle Corps. You can see the band at Churchdown School on 12th September 1999 where they will be competing in the regional heats of the British Youth Band Assosiation Championships
• Get down to the Catherdral, site of the order by some French upstart of the Domesday Book (Chapter House) Site of the largest stained-glass window in Europe (Crecy window) where you can see the earliest known recorded picture of Lee Travino at the 9th. Get a life and pick up a book about your home town , if you don't already know these things!
• The doomsday book was founded in the cathedral chapter house. which is where the king's school pupils sit their exams.
• Gloucester has recently become infamous for being the home town of fred west, the multiple killer.
• For a good Saturday afternoon in winter, Kingsholm, the Rugby Ground of Gloucester RFC is hard to beat. It is a large ground and easy to get tickets on the day of the match.
