• the rythym house in hanley, cant remember the street name but on that road theres a ruck of good shops.
• Hope street feeds us with Rhythm House (the best music shop in town!), Route 66 (not so good) and Kays (alright), theres an Academy of Sound too, but thats a rip-off

• There is one in Stoke itself, which should be easy to find as there is sod all else in Stoke town centre nowadays other than boarded up shops, banks and charity shops.

• There was one in Stoke just round the corner from the chemists. Shouldn't be hard to find, seeing as there is fuck all in Stoke.
• Hope Street in Hanley has 3 medium sized music (Guitar/Drum) shops - Kays, Route 66 and some other shop. Also Hope street has a gay club,a prostitute 'collection', a church and a methadone centre - Brilliant!
• Route 66.So they placed it on the wrong side of the ring road and its nearly impossible to get to without dicing with death .

• Tremolo is a good place to go...smells a bit and is a bit pricey...£21 for 3 hours!

• Orchard Studios near Alsager has great facilities and two seperate studios/mixing rooms etc. Great band deals. www.orchardstudios.co.uk

• Spectre studios, the cable chamber, bryan street hanley. This is a recording studio where many a club anthem is made but kept quiet around the area. Its available for hire and also for tuition (so if you want to learn the ropes, get in touch)

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
