- the founting opposite litten tree
- The best hook-up spot in Barnstaple is the bench outside glt's. You get the drinkers and boy-racers here!
- out side green lanes
- Ok I saw the gulley mentioned above, I know a lot of people say this, but... I named that spot... and why? after the gulley up codden hill you know the drop off? with the bananna and the middle one.. by Nick Wills, an ex park school student..
- outside rockabillys - watch the fights
- The mound, good place to get a snog or whatever. Go up there to have a joint and get pissed with your friends, and see how far you can jump down the side of the mound (very steep in some parts).
- Pilton Park
- Newport is the place to find all the young birds to take full advantage of if u wanna get laid visit here for a good time. make sure you bring the cider they will appreciate it.whoo hoo
- I had my first ever snog on Castle Mound!
- 'The Gully' A massive ditch at the bottom of the Park school footie pitch, joining on to the pitch and putt. A very popular place to get drunk, then try to ride your bike over the bunkers and other golfing hazards. On friday and saturday night there is an hourly shout of 'PIGS' and everyone has to run and hide in peoples gardens on park lane
- Multi-story car park behind what used to be bees nite club, first level normally frequented by pissed up 13 - 16 year olds, there faviourite drink..White lightning or Omega, 2.99 for 2litres or for the stronger stuff 20/20. Upper levels had youngster exploring there sexuality and other peoples. Castle mound sometimes was also a good place to have a sneaky drink of cider or a spliff, but has quite scary people in alot of the time and ever since that women was found dead underneath the mound its popularity has i feel wained. During the day the libary square used to be the favourite place to meet your mates b4 going into town, when that was all you could do on a saturday in barnstaple.
Recently the new fountain (washing up liquid fountain) is often frequented by drunk people, although i still prefer lunging drunkenly out of the tap after arguing with the QuimJ in there and running round the round about until i fall over.
- Congrams close car park
- Say All, Being born in Barnstaple (and never living there) I can say it's a great place. The world offers, and we went forth. I live in Australia now but regardless of the heat, flies and banter, I'm from Barnstaple. And proud. If you can't have fun in Barnstaple you didn't know in the first place. If you do well that is jusy OK!!!!!
Have fun!
Have a beer for me!
Ta
Piers!
Love from Aust!
CYA
- Rock Park is the place to go to hang out, try the shelter if you wanna meet people and also Castle Mound near the library but beware faggers and pissheads, they hang there too!
- Graveyard halfway up Bear Street. It ain't romantic but boy is it private at night. Failing that, Rock Park, notable for its lack of rocks

What is Knowhere?
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
