There are lots of nice places to skate in Ashton and about 5-10 people that skate regulary, if you need help just hanga round eddies on the weekends and you will prolly run into these fellows.
--==WHEN ITS WET==--
In ashton when its raining, go to the old barn and full pipe. We use old washing machines to grind and old tyres to ollie. Eddies used to have a small area that was under cover. I think its gone now, used to have some steps and benches that you could slide.m I think thats it !
--==When its dark==--
Canny school, they have night classes...flood lights and the lot !
Canny school, when the lights are off go round the back, over a blue fence and there is a small drop with good lighting, they keep the lights on to make it seem like someones home !, but we kno this is all lies.
Quicksave carpark is light, but watch out they have fat people that beleive they are some form of police. If they see you makin a green smoke, they will take it off ya..
St edmond harrosmith skool, is wicked for skatebaording. 4,5 steps.banks.gaps.bins etc. Byrchall is a shit school for both learning and skateboarding. It has a 6 step with rail and a nice wall ollie on the "new" building, thats all it has. Cansfield is a good skool to skate got a few gaps and a big 3 step. Nothing beats eddies tho, its like a skatepark. Quicksave has some plant gaps, Ozzies ( local skool ) is ok but soon to be blowm away for a new supermarket. YES new skate spot. ermm..greensway 5 step is nice and theres a 7 round the back but u need to actually start off in the shop to get to the steps. The full pipe in haydock as you head towards newton is very good, there is always tramps and pedophiles there willing to help you out.
Eddies, the parks opposite haydock race course, Kwiki car park, ozzies school (soon to be demolished) Fuckin bastards!!! Think of the kiddies.
Try the parks, the buisness estate next to byrchall high school,
or byrchall high school
or eddies
st oswald's primary school is good,
try the three sisters
they're taking over the world! they're everywhere! the ashton skate contingent.
tennis parks although they carry their skateboards more than they ride them
no one has skateboards in ashton, do they?

SKATE SHOP SOON TO OPEN IN ASHTON. Visit www.jk-uk.com/skateshop and USE THE MESSAGE BOARD. The more people who use the site, the sooner the shop will open.
No one sells skateboard products in Ashton, but a lad called Matthew Andrews has his own skateboard compnay called "Destiny" if you contact him i'm sure he can sort you out with some stuff. www.skatedestiny.com
Ashton cycles sell a few decks and hardware, but its all just like JJB stuff. for a real skate shop go to alans in wigan.
There is not really alot for young kids to do in Ashton. Thats the reason why most of the teens are running riot in Ashton. I suppose they use Gerrard St for skateboarding! but that does not really count.
ask the kids outside the library.
Forget Skateboards the pavements are too uneven, god sub aqua shop on Bolton Road if you are into rubber though!
Hopping off the market retaining wall
