By far the best Music shop in the North East is Steven James Guitars on Linthorpe Road Middlesbrough, Steven him self runs the shop, He was in the 80s/90s Rock/Punk band the Dogs D'amour, he will always give you a good deal and can beat all the local competition on all levels, especially when it comes to a relaxed chilled out atmosphere in the shop that makes it a pleasant experience to buy from Him. 10 out of 10 Steve, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

Steven James Guitars is the best place to go in Middlesbrough for Musical Instruments. The shop is well set out and makes Middlesbrough Music Centre feel like a time portal sending you back to the middle ages!! It is by far the best music shop in the north east! you'll find it on Linthorpe Road next to Barclays bank!
Steven James Guitars on Linthorpe Road is new and very good - Steve is really friendly guy, clearly knows his stuff and the prices are pretty much the best I've found in the North East...
Stave Janes Guitars - Great new shop, only been open since Dec 06 they need your support
middlesbrough music shop, captain cooks square.
allways Helpfull , stock a large amount of instruments ranging from stringed to woodwind. staff are honest and always point in the right direction.
much cheaper than bandland or sound control.
MMC is shite... go to redcar.
Gladstones in Darlington well worth checking out.
Middlesbrough Music Shop is ran by the dishonest Uncle Tony. My 75 year old gran went in to buy me a wah pedal for crimbo and he only showed her the real top end stuff, even though he had much cheaper ones. He was trying to cash in and take advantage of a little old woman. Scumbag! I now shop at Bandland. www.bandland.co.uk
HMV
shop in captains cook square
The Place In Captain Cooks Square - They're Very Friendly In There, I Do Violin And Guitar
The only one I know of is in Captain Cooks Square (shopping precinct) NR bus station, are there any more??
There's one across the road from Virgin Megastore's in the Captain Cook Square.
MIDDLESBROUGH MUSIC CENTRE IS GREAT, UNCLE TONY'S A BIT CREEPY BUT THE DEALS ARE GOOD AND THEY WILL BARTER
Bandland! Its on portrack lane behind big W and has to be the best in the area for guitars and drums etc. They have a massive online catalog at www.bandland.co.uk
Theres one in the captain cooks square area that ive noticed looks the business but not sure what its called. I considered buying some bongo drums there once when I looked in but realised they would just be for decoration hehe. Friendly staff noted.
captain cook square middlesbrough
Cash Converters, Cash enerators, and of course Middlesbrough Music.
There's one in Captain Cook's square (just off Linthorpe in the pedestrianised bit), got loads of guitars in the window but they sell other stuff. Not really my scene , well not at all in that I don't play but it's big so they should stock something.
GUITAR
middlesbrough music is by far the greatest music shop in boro.friendly service and good deals.and there one of the main stockists of ibanez axes in the north east.get in there and try some of them even if you can afford them.bandland.tcch!!you should be ashamed of yourself.
Middlesbrough music centre
EBGB in Durham- class place for everything, also Staves music in Ferryhill.
Try Newcastle upon tyne, much better selection
Middlesbrough Music Centre: it's the only 1!!
Boro Music near virgin megastore, Williams is now closed to make way for an austrailian theme pub... You sometimes find cheep gems in cash converters...
MBRO music shop
middlesbrough music centre near the captain cook square
Middlesbrough music is poo. Don't go in. Your better off going to greensleeves in Guisborough
The shop just outside Greggs. It's the cheapest musical instrument shop in Middlesbrough - it only costs about 10,000 pounds for a guitar.
used to be a very wierd one which was half newsagent round the back of the bus station
williams
Middlesbrough Music Shop - The One and Only.
Williams, Middlesbrough music centre.
Middlesbrough music store and Williams the music centre. There's a DJ shop but record players aren't instruments. Argos sells shite instruments for extortionate prices(See we aren't all think up here).
Middlesbrough Music Shop is where I got everything I needed for my rather short and unsuccesfull musical career on the drums.
That one near captain cooks monument
We only have one and it is shite!
Middlesbrough Music Store - Captain Cooks Square, some great deals.
Williams
CAPTIN COOK SQURE
Williams, Middlesbrough Music
THE ONE AND ONLY MIDDLESBROUGH MUSIC CENTRE! GOD BLESS YA UNCLE TONY! THE ONLY GRUBLE ABOUT THIS FINE ESTABLISHMENT WAS A NO TOUCH POLICY ON THE DRUM KITS! SHAME...
Big Rock at Williams is the best shop in town as the staff actually know what they're talking about. If you're friendly to them then you might get a good deal!
Williams of Middlesbrough ; Williams the music maker has its head office here in Middlesbrough , situated on Coparation Road (Oppisiste Huxters) . It offers all your Musical needs , including a great range of Pianos , drum kits and guitars as well as sheet music and Royal Associated Board books .
behind the bus center ...instrument shop and also down parlaiment road
If its still there, uncle Toms behind the bus station
Uncle Tony`s Music Shop(Middlesbrough Music Centre), is by far the best place to shop for musical goods. He will cut you a good deal, and you`ll get a laugh at the same time. Don`t go to Williams` , it suck big dick. Williams` is the type of shop like on Wayne`s World, where he plays the can i help you riff. Also Stairway and wonderwall are denied. Smells like teen spirit is guarenteed to get you thrown down the stairs!
Recording Studios, Rehearsal Rooms, PA Hire
crypt crypt crypt
Pig Pen Studios (rehearsal rooms), just off the A19. Easily the best in the area.
Studio 64.
Studio 64 is pretty good. Lorne Street studios are terrifying, unless you go with an armed guard. Situated in the middle of a seedy industrial area, I felt every prostitute and crackhead that staggered by was eyeing up my equipment. And inside is like playing in someone's house (ie no soundproofing).
Recording studio near "The Purple Onion" Bar... (its hear-say but..) A mate got some old recording medium (?? 8 Track cartridge??) to CD, and cleaned up as well.. He's happy. ... Was it at that place?? 80% SURE.
Apparently there's one next to Jumping Jack's the night club (Shit Hole btw - Never Ever go there)
pigpen
studio 64
Studio 64 was the place everyone who wanted to be in a band started up... never did anything special apart from organise Middlesbrough Music Live tho..
