Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)
Great Place is the marina - friendly atmosphere in Watchet. Everyone is warm and weelcoming and friendly.
The Coastguard tOWER OVERLOOKING THE HARBOUR IS OFF LIMITS AND WILL SHORTLY BE REFURBISHED. cOVERT POLICE OPERATIONS TACKLING DRUG IN THIS AREA
us young'uns spend r time gambling in the arcade! its a really happening place!!! the music is out of this world and you can smoke and drink as much as you like.
The bus stop by the railway station
youth club, esplanade and the pizza shop.
The new hook-up spot will be Watchet Youth Club, opening around middle of May!! I've seen the new set up of the club and it looks wicked. Che & Carla (the youth workers for Watchet) are totally dedicated to us young people, they're brilliant.
out side mace you can normally spot the younger kids
The best thing that you can do in Watchet is get a few mates together and petrol bomb the place!!
Love Lucy
As it says, the shelters on the Esplenade, although one of them was burnt out by some little twat a few years ago. It's been rebuilt in a weird kind of Watchet modernist style and contrasts with all other architecture in the town.
The occupants of these shelters vary according to the time day, from old coots in the morning ruminating on the transformation of the Harbour to a marina(!?), through disaffected furtive youths in the evening, too old for youth club & too young/skint for the pub, to late night illicit canoodlers and those happily pissed taking time out on their wobbly way home.
Don't go to the shelter on the Memorial Ground! That's where all the yobs & druggies hang out! The shelter on the Esplanade is the place
Look for the shelters on the Esplanade. Bloody draughty, but lots of folks meet here & swear a lot, drink (Coke, of course ;o) ), even some strange smelling substances sometimes....
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
