Food
Watchet Kebab House
Best restaurant in town: GENNARO's!
The Star for pub food. Genaro's for Italian.
Genaro's Italian Restaurant. Maybe the original Fawlty Towers. Great experience food is good.
The Anchor Inn
does no-one think to update this site?
With regards to seyburns if you belive that you have to be rich to eat there then you must have to be a right stingey bastard as the cheapest meals started at £3.00 and the most expensive being a mere £15.00. Why don't you get a job and maybe you will be able to afford more than a greasy bag of chips. And by the way the star is the only public house in the town worth visiting (good job keith and kim)
chinease , fish chips , no kebab house yet but i guarentee it would work !!!! hehehehe there used to be a pizza place but the guy folded i think he relized that people would be a bonus when trying to sell pizzas !
GOLDEN BOWL CHINESE TAKE-AWAY!!! THIS IS THE PLACE TO GET YOUR FOOD!! THE FOOD IS GREAT!!!!!!!
Seyburns is not for rich buggers its where people go to have good food thats reasonably priced and where theres a pleasant atmosphere. The Star isn't bad either!
There are a couple of cafe's - Mollies and Hellikers. Two chippies, a chinese, a pizza shop, a couple of restaurants and five pubs. The Star is the only pub safe to eat in and Seyburns is the choice for Restaurant whatever your budget.
theres a few but dont get your hopes up.
When you think how many food places there are in Watchet there should be something for everyone!
Deano's Pizza's is Watchet's latest take-away. It's really cool! Everywhere else is a grease feast!
Rich buggers go to Seyburns, the rest of us get a choleserol fest at the chippy. Actually, The Star serves some good grub, but not a gourmet's delight.
Pubs
the bell
try the anchor.. good ol' boozy's never refused me!
The Anchor Inn
The Anchor Inn is the locals pub. Good fun and often has entertainment but the locals keep you going anyway.
The Anchor and The Star. Drink at The Anchor...............Eat at The Star. There is no other choice.
The Anchor Inn. Watchet's local
The clipper has been taken over by new people and great changes have taken place! So far the youngters have been stopped so the more mature clientele is now available. The restaurant has been totally gutted, and an amazing transformation has taken place.what with the great decor, harbour view and a splendid variety of brilliant food, its definitely the place to go! The bars are currently under going refurb,so hopefully with-in a couple weeks they should be finshed too.
The Clipper was the best place for a quiet game of pool in the week but watch out for the weekend as with any other pub. Also try Shaun's pub the West Somerset Hotel again very good for pool.
The Anchor Inn
Hit the West on selected fridays for a touch M.O.B.O flava.Look out for posters round town.big thanks to sean combs for supporting the night!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For A small town it certainly has its fair share of bars ! ok so here goes
Anchor :- old men, smelly dog, and large annoying land lord, that coupled with the smell of death ! then you have the anchor !
clipper :- or other wise know as the "mud skipper" "bar lesbos" or "the youth center" but i must say i have never seen anybody under the age of 18 drinking in there ????????????????????????????? hmmmmmmmmmmm
The BELL : - well this would be our russian input to the town a nice bar not the kind you would want to be taking a stag party too but fun all the same this bar would rather you didnt get drunk or swear ! hmm i say fair enough but WHY OH WHY did you buy a BAR !?!?!? get a bloody libary !
The WEST :- for all your fighting needs ... nuff said ! dont go taking your mother to this place unless of course she enjoys the odd scuffle ?!"!?!?!?!
WATCHET FOOTBALL CLUB IS BANGIN!!!!! AND IF YOUR FEELING HORNI THEN POP IN THE CLIPPER ON YOUR WAY FOR YOUR PICK UP!!!!!!!!!!
The Anchor Inn is not the place to go for a 'quiet drink'. But if you want to meet the locals and have a sing song then this is the place to be.
The 'Star Inn' is the best pub in Watchet. It is a small traditional pub and does not serve fast food so don't go there in a hurry. The menu has a wide selection with something for the kids and veggies as well.
theres about 6 pubs so if your over 13 your ok
All pubs are freindly in this town ( 7 within 400mtrs in a large circle)
Better going to the clubs in Taunton, in my opinion.
The Clipper has LOTS of patrons celebrating graduation from Play School! If they happen to be falling over, it's only because they haven't got used to orange-juice yet. Other many establishments are strictly for pensioners! Except the Football Club, which specialises in Yobbo fare.
Cafes and Coffee Shops
chives deli is a great new cafe and deli
New to Watchet----------CHIVES....Brilliant
Try the Cuddly Cod, actualy it's called The Friendly Dolphin. Open 'till late.
mollys <----ahh what a gal ! and the mace shop ! dave rules !!! yeah !!!not only does he own a very succsesfull shop but also a cafe and ! on top of all that he also has his own "red devil skateboard team" outside the shops !! WHAT A GUY !
THIS IS WHERE US YOUNG'UNS CHILL OUT WHEN WE'RE HANGING!!!!!!!!!!!!
The corner house Cafe or 'Mollies' as it is known locally is very popular but there are rumours of strange hygiene ideas which put a few off. The alternative is Hellikers next door which offers snacks and full blown meals.
Nice food @ Mollys @ The corner house cafe
Mollys at the corner of Swain st. and Market st. The original and best, she used to do fantastic fry-ups at pub chucking out time, seems to have died out now, shame.
There's a zillion cafes in Watchet, but you have to be over 60 to get in!
You could get coffee poisioning if you went into all the coffee shops in Watchet. Prices are pretty reasonable, though.
