Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Ref.JB`S nightclub-It`s the longest running rock club in the U.K.-Into it`s 36th year,and it aint closing,just getting better-Try it!
For a period of about 2 years JB's was my second home! The drinks are decently priced, and depending on who's DJing the music can be very good. On the downside, the girls in JB's have had more pricks than a pin cushion and you need a pair of wellies to wade through the river of piss to get to the toilet.
JBs good atmosphere and Remarkably young looking members(good brand of face cream)
jbs and krush
JB's shitty and full of youthful people
Millenium - is pants!
No Limits aka No Standards
JBS a real greasy indie club full of excitable youngsters
Live Music Venues
courthouse jbs lamp tavern shed
We have shows at dudley music centre (lawnswood road)a few times each term. Theres some really good music there sometimes.
The Shed, on Brettle Lane - Nice venue - but do they really need all those bouncers???
I dig JB's and The Lamp Tavern cuz they both have live music.
I've seen some quality bands play JB's Nightclub. Sadly the venue rarely seems to attract a decent sized audience.
JBs- excellent for all ages,it's not just about greasy excitable youngsters, DJs are great, always a friendly atmosphere
JB's shitty
JB's is great for "alternative" nights out, and its a great atmosphere at the rock disco on a thursday night. (half of dudley college's students are down there!)
JBs - But i think its closing soon
JB's - Bottom of Castle Hill - watch the sticky floor!
Robin Hood Club - ok gigs but pricey entry....
The Shed is rumoured to be good....
The albion pub on stone street where i do the karaoke on a saturday night at 7.30pm sorry was i advertising again.
Cinemas
Merryhill but I wish it was cheaper.
Castlegate cinema is great cuz the seats rock - foods expensive though, we always take our own popcorn.
Dudley Castlegate kicks, but I prefer the Merryhill fliks!!!
Dnt go to kiddy cinema wot aload ov SHIT if i say alot mre appening in merry hill if u go l8, u cnt even find the Fcker!
Castle gate cinema
There's a massive one just down from the town, near the new island. BUT - it's expensive and is basically a meeting place for yobs (especially during a weekend and since it's located near a YobDondald's).
there is some new cinemas which have been built in dudley Showcase cinemas
showcase by tesco
Cool recently opened Showcase Cinema- if you go on a weekday the place is silent like the grave, and you get the full effects of the surroundsound, and comfy seats. And unlike UCI at Merry Hill, youre feet dont stick to the floor!
The new cinema at Castle Gate Island has opened now (12th October 2001). I went there the other night (opening night) and its v-posh but very nice! Tickets are £3.50 on afternoons, and £5.50 after 6pm i think. But its worth paying a bit extra one time to go in the gold class bit, because its nice up there in the lounge! (that i got kicked out of..ahem).
Multiplex at Merry Hill is ok
A new cinema supposedly opening in 2001
A zoo (at the moment....)
Black Country Living Museum
They're building one by Castle Gate Island but it's taking years.
