Coffee and cream is a good place to eat, as is Peking's Chinese and New Wongs Garden.
Pubs
lots of pubs. quite boring but the royal has a cool jukebox.
all about the same - the health fud place in the "high" street not fussy how fresh faced u r
lots, all good, most could be better tho. AND WE DO NOT HAVE ANY BIKER PUBS. The ship was where all the bikers used to go, But now they kind of go to all of them, and they are very welcome to.
The Royal attracts that fresh faced crowd u talk about...The Crown..are all teh people who have been drinking since adam and eve and are now fed up of all the young uns at the royal..The Ship is dead nice now..Gets my seal of approval as does the tudor and the george..Augustus John is nice but lotsa farmers
The Ship has changed completely. It is now owned by a very nice Austrailian/New Zealand Lady (not quite sure on accent). It does excellent food, has got excellent rooms for B&B, and not a biker in sight. It's gone upmarket a bit. Complete rufurbishment, now means the lounge bar, is now all part of the whole bar.
The Ship is a lot better..I went back at Xmas and it was really cool...
the royal accepts young llokin adults.the crown is harder but u get most of the college lot there.the ships nicer now its been done but still not a majotr hot spot.the george does the food and is for the older kids.
I went to the Royal arms for a new years eve party and not a biker in sight!!!!
Maybe it is being mixed up with the Ship before it was done up.
pubs are ok as pubs, but there are all the same faces every weekend and the same muppets that wind each other up and scrap over a beer or some dirty old slapper that has done fordingbridge male population two times.
The Tudor Rose, Just out side the town towards the north, probably one of the best pubs in the area. Great beer, Great food and superb Landlord and Landlady!!!
You need to change the fact that the Royal Arms is not full of bikers anymore,
The Ship is just wierd, and the Crown is the place where everyone says its crap
because you cant get served there til you're old enough to drink, obviously!!
Augutus John, dont bother unless you're Fifty+!!
Off Licence " The Wine Cellar " OPEN 7 DAYS PER WEEK 6PM - 10.30PM
The Augustus John (uses to be The Load of Hay. My friends Mum&Dad used to own it, haven't been in it since they left) The Ship (the 'hard' people's place), The Royal Arms (sixth-formers and students hang out), The Crown(Apparently they don't clean out their pipes but I was told that a long time ago), The Ashburn Hotel's bar/pub (my brother works there, it's OK), Sandy Balls Pub/Bar (my other brother used to work there, mainly for tourists).
The George (families), the Crown (footballers), the Ship (old people) and the Royal Arms (bikers).
Cafes and Coffee Shops
Aye..The Coffee And Cream does lush burgers!YUm! And then u have Belindas etc..
quaint coffe shops all for the elderly thio.
very nice but dont go there for lunch, they all close for lunch.
