Record Shops
Nothing in Tiv, try Reform in Exeter
WH Smiths and Woolworths. If your taste extends beyond Ronan Keating and the Sugerbabes, best get your ass over to Exeter.....
Record shops don't happen here. A few shitty pop albums in WH Smiths and Woolworths cater for the tastes of you typical Westlife-loving Tivertonian.
occational record fair above halfmoon pub but with an extreme rip off price of 1 pound entry
Basically, woolworths, tescos, smiths, oh and the esso garage at the bottom of canal hill which specialises in neil diamond, village people, bette midler, and the everton football squad 1986, all at bargain prices!
Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Remedies is kind a of joke between everyone but most of those that joke still go there and you still have a laugh. It isnt that rough...there is someone always looking for trouble in every club. Just needs a new DJ!
Tiverton on a saturday or friday night, one must experience it to fully appreciate the wasters and amount of drug using scum that really is out there. Remedies formally the tube has not got rid of the scum that used to go to the tube: a rank and dark hole was the best way to describe it. Although remedies has had a complete over-haul it still does not change the evil looks you get from the incest ridden popultion of tiverton, anyone not from tiverton is classed as an outsider and gets a frost reception.
One for the girls, watch out for the lads of tiverton, most of them carry sexual disaeses and have got off with 90% of the girls in tiverton.
One for the boys, watch out if your not from tiverton because the amount of fights i have experienced over people from different areas going out there is untrue.
The best place to go (i say that meaning the best of the holes) would be the whiteball, however all you have to choose from nightclub wise is Remedies or Slappers, i cannot possibly descibe the nastiness of the place or the people. Go to Exeter or Taunton i beg you!
Well, not Dance, but a mixture, varied music. Weekends they have dance, pop, R&B etc. Sometimes on occasion they have a specific theme night, a thursday recently saw Nick Rafferty and other house DJs there. Remedies, on Gold Street.
HAHAHAHA
Remedies. a hole, but the only one in tiverton.
Remedies Bar the classy dancehall that shows MTV for all the popgirls to dance around their handbags too. If you are too young, old or ugly to get in then you will find many of your own sort at the SLAPPERS night club above the half moon
The 'Tube as I'm sure your aware has now been refurbished. It now sports the name of 'Remedies' and by all accounts is ten time better than the one in Taunton you heard it hear First.
I'm stunned to find no mention of 'Slappers' the ultimate Tiverton nightspot, although I suspect this will fold if it already hasn't in favour of remedies.
Having been to Remedies, I can honestly say the best feature is the amount of light in the place. It saves you from snogging some horrid munter.
Remedies Nightspot..it used to be called the Tube which was crap. But it's smartened up its act a bit so you can get the clap off a slightly better dressed single mother with a drug problem.Ugly barmaids even after 10 pints
Slappers above the Half Moon is one of the many places to avoid. The bouncers instigate fights but they do play fine tracks such as 'Nelly The Elephant' and Rolf Harris' greatest? hits.
Stop press: The Tube will soon be no longer my friends, Its been sold and will soon be known as...'Remedies', poncy wine-bar antics anyone?
still, rumour control has it that the old Normans supermarket has been bought by the turkish mafia (already dominating the fast-food and coffee bar market) and want to turn it into a nightclub!
'Eagles' is shit. 'The Tube' is shit. 'Slappers' is shit.
Three. All shit. 'Slappers' is the upstairs of the Half Moon, and if everyone keeps their arms by their side, three people can comfortably fit in. It's full of desperate, middle-aged school cleaning ladies. 'Eagles' is the inside of Elmore FC's clubhouse. It's full of the Kappa wearing brigade of 'Darrens', but they're usually dressed in Ben Sherman/Kickers shirts. 'The Tube' is supposed to be a club, but is more like a Nursury. Brooklyn Beckham could walk in without raising an eyebrow.
EAGLES NIGHTCLUB 4EVER or the fat boys down the rugby club (cocksuckers)
Is this a joke! er.....the tube, in gold street (open to 1am weekends!!!) go there if grotty punk type mutha fuckas are ur cup of tea.
Eagles nite club (of sorts) presently closed, one word....shit.
Live Music Venues
Twyford have relatively good local bands playing from time to time, not much else though
Maynards I belive have elastic bands which are probably more talented than any of the drugged up inbreds that play here.
The Tube has a few half-arsed bands knocking about. The Twyford Inn also promotes a few sub-standard acts.
Bands steers clear of Tiverton. In fact everybody steers clear of Tiverton...
Tube for head hurting house music
tube - home of dodgy, ska-bands and twat faced shit DJ's, who have about as much talent as a slugs bell end....er...
