Skateboarding Spots
Morrisons Car Park crew are still going, most of the St George's Cres lot go there now instead. Recently it's died a bit, but let's start it back up.
Marrison's car park, near the garage
Eccles Centre - Behind Morrisons. Peel Green - not many skaters round this area. Winton/Monton - Skaters can be seen in monton but usually travel to town or other areas.
Theres not much of a skateboard scene in eccles, They usually travel to places with a better atmosphere, like urmston or altrincham for example. There is odd-pocekets of sk8rs in the summer months, these can usually be found behind morrisons next to the tram lines.
skate spots are near the church near wilkinsons there is a 7 set and a 9 set with a nice long run up for the 7 ... the 9set is pretty bad ( i had 2 quit boarding cause of that stair set :( ) every where in eccles town centre is good to skate due to the smoothe floors loads of benches and walls to drop off
behind morrisons, in that spot opposite the 'eccles cross' - only usually in summer months tho.
The ledges between marks and spencer and nera the metro link.Good for boardslide
Different heights.V good for beginers.
4 and 5 step on side of building in front of aldi(dont go in at the main entrance the security get you.)
7 step on kings street and if you meet me i will show you some more:)Tom
The multi storey car park in the Centre used to offer a cool place to ride your boards.
Skateboard Shops
JJB on WestOne, but it's not got too good a range. better to go into town.
Trafford Center
Skaters tend to go to manchester city centre.
there are no skateboard shops in eccles unfortunatly ..
Skate board shops are a no go area in sunny old Eccles
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here.
(But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)
You can use the add an event form
to tell us about events happening in Eccles.
Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
