Skateboarding Spots
southey park..i fell off my bike there..
Better heading for the Centre or St George [J]
southey park has new ramps.
Southey Park update 27/7/03. The small half-pipe was taken out a long time ago. In Southey Park now, they have a rail, a fun-box,which has been vandalised with a hole in the top. Also one quarter-pipe with extension (they had 2, but the other was vandalised), a 2-stair box thing and a spine ramp. Many sk8rs use this spot every day. In Kingswood Park, there is a bandstand with 5-6 steps; highly dangerous - don't try without experience! There is a kerb near the bandstand that me and my friends have waxed up and you can pull some phat 50:50's.
In Southey Park there is a curb in the car park area thing which I use to pull some phat 50-50's. Also in Southey behind the changing rooms there is a nice 2 stair to ollie off of.
In the new Somerfield car park there is a few good flower beds to ollie over and there are a few curbs to do axel stalls on.
southey park
southey park has a 12 foot wide mini ramp but i aint 8 foot high more 6
foot and a bit. the other ramp is wrong so wrong you all ahve to sk8 it to find out how wrong it is its a 5 foot by 6 wide vert ramp wrong huh?
southey park is soon to be sorted out with new equipment and surfacing work. this will be a quality job unlike previous council work on sk8 parks (keynsham sk8rs sorry to hear about your piss poor spot)as it is being designed by sk8rs for sk8rs.
Kingswood park, has benches, and steps, the shopping centre has double set steps, good transistions for 50-50's and benches, Emersons green near Mangotsfield has steps rails curbs, benches blocks and real smooth too, and only about 7 people sk8 there, Kingswood Civic Centre in the car parks cool too, and the wall next to the post office and the trust building is cool too
Southay Park, Kingswood. Two metal mini ramps. One 8 high by 12 wide. Other similar transitions "but closer together"? Kwik Save and Leo's car parks in Staple Hill. Staple Hill school. Kingswood shopping centre. Staple Hill Square. Loads of steps behind old people's home in Staple Hill.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
