• Thomas Jones, a long-dead local artist who more-or-less invented impressionism on a trip to Italy. He was also a brothel-keeper. (It's OK, you can't libel the dead) They've just erected a statue to him, near the bandstand. Llandrindod Wells - the only place in Wales with a bronze brothel-keeper.
• John the Busnant, local farmer with a Hendrix obsession. Most of the bands to emerge from Llandod in the past 30 years have benefitted from his guidance and the use of his barn as a place to play and practice. Cuddly astrologer Russell Grant lived in Tremont Road. (Not many people know that.)
• The Llandrindod Massive - as celebrated in the Ali G book - they even have their own hand signal. Sadly most are now incarcerated at Her Majesty's Prison, Parc - just for trying to spread a little happiness.
• well, let me see rolf harris visits regularly and denese van outen live close to Llandrindod
• All the Welsh Office staff judging by the amount of comments about them on this noticeboard!

Buskers, Street Entertainers

• Trials ridders, street entertinment all the freaks who wander the streets
• Street entertainers - mainly Glyn marpole after several pints.
• Their was a individule who would entertaine the town by dressing up in different clothes every day, some times a oxford boater other days a pirot!
• We get some great buskers playing around Middleton Street.
• Glyn Marples waiting for a lift towards howey
• Paul Rowlands on his motorbike, sounds more like a lawn mower.
• Performers who turn up in Victorian week can be cool.
• MATTHEW HALL ON THE KARAOKE
• Only Shacky after a skin full
• The Boy racers outside the public toilet

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
