Dining in Newry is a gastronomic delight, and it is no wonder the town has earned the title of the Gourmet Town in Ireland. Chinese, Indian, Italian, Russian, Thai, Persian, Turkish, Spanish, Mexican - you'll find something for every taste, but for sheer indulgence you cannot do better than a Friar Tuck's chicken pannini, which is actually battered bird-meat and spicy sauce inside something that is a cross between a tortilla, a pitta pocket and a seame seed burger bap: simply divine!
Soho place is by far the best place to eat out in newry, surprisingly Canal Court food isn't bad either but for the lack of respect and pure ignorance of several staff i would say stay clear...just my opinion though
