  • mayobridge the foor ball feild in your tractor
  • If you want to avoid those chavs and pop freaks andare atop class rocker, skater, grunger or what ever the town hall would be advisable.the market would also be concidered as the girlys wouldnt be caught dead in the market.i recoomd NOT to go near the Quays unless shopping or the cinema, far too many of them running in packs waiting for a linkin park fan to be on there own.if you are the goth type, the libary right beside the magnet and you can have have a quick read while you wait.Punks, grungers and moshers don't stay to the courthouse area, drunkies from the Bank waddle down that area.theres a tattoo parlor down beside the traffic lane which links to the buttercrane an Quays.watch out forpop freaks leaving the Quays and Buttercrane but you will be well hidden.
  • new place to meet for ages of 11 to 17 is the car park at the front of the buttercrane but getting a bit dangerous two many fights
  • the magnet and wool worths is were all teh skaters meet up its fun
  • wool worths is were mostly every one meets up and hangs out

  • down at the quays on a friday nite. ders plenty of good lookn fellas as well
  • down the point road. the reg (the regency)
  • behind the town hall you can rely on some 14 yr olds hanging around dying for a shift. its a dead cert
  • You cant beat the back of the town hall on a friday night, the place to be. 15 yearold scaterrly clad girls with their wkd blue and their lip gloss. yes... spied bonanza.Theres so much to do with these young people, you can always drink, smoke and of course watch the weekly one on one punch up ( well one person getting battered by ten others) Bored... then the the town hall the place to be ( i mean the back of it)
  • north street flats, get there before they're demolished, town hall (try not to start a fight or a hundred nyucks with knives will be on top of ya)
  • The Quays on a fri night, ya cant beat it 4 young bitches running about.
  • stone brigde on a friday night - all the hoes
  • the third bench up from top man in the centre.. fifth floor of the multi-storey on a thursday nite stone bridge for ho's the market
  • Dunnes car park on Monaghan street on Friday and Saturday nights. All the nyucks hang there in their souped up Corsas and Micras with tinted windows, little Knightrider lights, ludicrously oversized spoilers and NoFear stickers on the back windows, revving their engines, spewing smoke from their noisy exhausts, and texting into Kiss 106 FM with requests for pumping techno choons. Classy.
  • well when the groovy magnet is closed (yes, the one-stop "freak" shop) has to close to (vampires need their zzzzz's), you'll find all those "open-minded" magnet folk at "the crib"...Just that bit of land beside the stone bridge... If, however you're too young to be a magnet person then hanging around outside it is the done thing. For those who are "normal" in Newry, try the benches in the Buttercrane, where you can have a "feg" and feel up your "ho/bitch" whilst admiring the beautiful *tacky* gold attire in H.Samuel.
  • Friar Tucks sugar island, oh and bring some sort of self defence with you, these people know just about not to eat themselves and no more...im talkin about the arse's outside the joint
  • again with the friar tucks (we don't get out much).has anyone heard the one bout the fella in the banbridge one who got over excited bout his chicken burger?no me neither euuuugh.

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Newry. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Newry.

If you are unhappy with any of the content on this page, turn on the flags.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
