• shelleys. shit 'n' small but all we got
• There is one club. Shelley's. And that's not even a club, it's a late night bar. Go to Brighton if u wish but NOT Crawley, it's almost as bad except u may die in Crawley.
• wat can i say about sheelleys u cue up 4 ages wen u finally get to the door u r greeted by a couple of bouncers who r on the biggest power trips of there life two stupid to join the old bill to scared to join the army and i guess they were bullied at school more than likely by girls
• nothing in horsham excep tthe unbelievably tragic shelleys whihc is not a night club as the poeple of horsham didnt want one of those it is a 'late night bar' whihc plays tragic pop music. would suggest avoiding crawley too but brighton isnt too far and worth the effort.. clubs along marine parade by the sea big yes
• Recently went to the new and improved Shelleys night club the other day! WOW! what a transformation that place has undergone since the last time I went in there! The DJs are excellent, the entertainment is superb and the drinks only seemed to cost me around £2.50! Well done to the new managing team there cos you have really turned it around! I even went in there last Thursday and they've got live DJs playing back to back in thier feeder bar Colours.
• Pleanty of golf clubs, there is Shelleys with 'old skool cheese' on a Thursday night with entry and drinks @ £2.50, friday its free entry before half 10 too. For 13-16 Year olds bi-monthly SNAP discos at the drill hall (call Horsham District council on 01403 215100)
• theres only one - Shellys - but you'd have to be pretty desperate - only any good as an after hours drinking den
• Shellys is a great club if you like 45 year old single mothers and don't mind paying up to 8 pounds for a drink, and it helps if you are deaf. The Extra time bar has been shut down, probably something to do with the fascist local council. The Best thing about horsham, is that you can leave and go to Brighton.
• local ones are'nt worth bothering - get on the train to london or brighton - concorde 2 does some quality but invariably expensive nights e.g. boutique - and acts & bands e.g dreadzone, lemon jelly - good for mad nights away. dont bother with taxis - doss in the local YHA for 7-8 quid a night
• Shellys is the worst hole in the entire world. When I have been there I anted nothing more then to be dead and rotting in a godless universe.
• You're better off going to Piries Bar on music nights (Thursday & Sunday) where you are free to tap your feed to your hearts content.
• only shelleys but the staff in there are shit they are abusive and most quit or get sacked like Tanveer Bhatti.

• Roffey Social & Sports Club, in last few months they have had great tribute bands , including Status Clone, Madonna (Absolutley brilliant) and Arrival the best ABBA tribute you will ever see. Its cheap to join and the beers not dear. Coming soon The Rockin Berries & Boogie Wonderland & through the grapevine i heard that soon to appear a Queen tribute. This club is well worth a look.
• Shelleys, or a shed??? hmmm, I would pick the shed any time of the week and twice on Sunday. Avoid big time, its a dump!!!

• Shelleys, well what can i say? small, dingy, small, same old people, small, smaller
• Who remembers Champagnes? What a club used to be behind Piries (think B52's is near the location) I started drinking there when I was 15. Owner went to Worthing and started Rutherfords. Or even Cromwells small niteclub, much more atmos than the hole that is shellys which for £5 guarentees you to see a fight, never know you might be in it!
• I can not believe that people still go to shelley's. Having said that, look at the people that do go there, the sad twats. Oh, and to the bouncers - you work in a poxy late night bar in a tiny little town that hardly anyone's heard of, not a top London nightclub like you all think. So do yourselves and everyone else a favour and lose the 'big man' attitude.
• Shelley's is the only nightclub in Horsham. Open till 2 apparently, which is a rarity in Horsham! Its underneath the bowling alley in the park.
• Crap, Shelleys is like dancing to bad music in a sweaty shoe box
• There are no clubs. Shellys is probably the closest you could get but you might be better off throwing the ash tray contents on your bedroom floor and turning up your stereo. To be fair though I suspect it was the best that could be done in view of tight arse council rules and regulations, so points for trying.
• Shelleys is the only one the authorities will allow. There was nearly one on an industrial estate a few years back, perfect place, miles from any houses but the churches put a stop to it.

• Cheap beer at Roffey Rugby Club but you have to be a member. Nice folk though.
• Small club called Shellys where the park rec used to be. Minute dance floor. Fits about 50 people. Go to Ikon/Diva in Crawley or Worthing or Brighton.
• Ho, lordy lordy, a club in Horsham - best advice is go to Crawley or Brighton.
• Shellys. OPen Friday & Saturday. Smart shoes only policy. Mainstream dance music. THe only club Horsham is ever likely to get. Will never dare to be different. Pity those without transport out of this dump.
• Shelley's in the old Park recreation centre - open 'till 2 a.m. (rare in Horsham)
• Crooks Dungeon. Late night wild music, visted by local celebrities for good night out, chill out room for mind blowing conversation and evan the odd game of chess. Resdient DJ's Ceefax,George and of cource Sump-Pump. It's all in the signs!!
• The new night club is now open in the old Park Recreation Centre, it also houses the new bowling complex
• Archers Youth Club: quite rad, cheap food and fresh women. Mon, Wed, Thur 8-11.

Live Music Venues

• I've seen some pretty good bands on the band stand in the carfax
• quite a few of the pubs in the town now have a band play once a week, piries bar is a good one to visit
• Littlehampton hosts Delirious? etc, and Horsham has the good old Green Dragon with live bands and party nights.
• oooo broadbrige heath leisure centre on a friday , drill hall occasionally thats it
• Extra Time Bar - 2-3 times a month lots of local bands with the occassional out of town band playing (see our website at www.highgainlive.co.uk). Well worth a look, if your under 18 though you need to call up to get a card. The Drill Hall - This plays host to battle of the bands as well as other gigs throught the year. • extra time bar, drill hall, carfax, loads if u kno where to look, go on www.hdlma.co.uk and u can find some decent gigs going on
• Costa's coffee bar has 'Fusion nites' every month on a friday evening with a live Jazz band. Great music and atmosphere, needs to happen more often!
• saw fun lovin criminals at the crawley leisure centre last year oddly enough, as above - brighton or london, or glastonbury
• the coot pub in merry field drive has live music often great venue good atmosphere
• Piries is good for live bands but watch out for the fool who calls himself batman and claimes to be a dolphin trainer. He's tried it on with every Doris in Horsham.
• Piries is the best place to hear music. The bands are of a high standard. The beer is nice, the bar staff friendly. However an out of touch Rolling Stones fanatic with an unusual quiff insists on approaching women to tell them he is Batman.
• Piries Bar. Brilliant for rock 'n' roll gigs and a more than decent pint of guinness. The Coot, despite being under new management, still has music nights.
• The Extra Time Bar, Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre, near Tescos. Friday nights Rock Asylum club puts on tribute bands. Sunday nights in September and October it hosts the Battle of the Bands heats. Occasional local bands nights playing original music throughout the year. Under 18's are allowed in to see the gigs provided they have a "privilege card". Also there's The Coot off Merryfield Drive which has regular live music.
• The Extra Time Bar at the Braodbridge Heath sports center has many live bands playing, they're usualy well advertised around town and in the local rag. Worth keeping an eye out for to see some local talent and enjoy a beer without bumping into Stella guzzling townies who are somewhat lacking in the brain department
• guildford is great for music concerts. i now a band (actually my mums in it) and if u where into that kind of music im sure ud like it (irish music- play in pubs and at weddings). theyre called 'the flying toads'.

• Again....you have to be kidding. There's always Piries but there isn't enough room to swing a cat in there, though it is quite funny to try. Broadbridge Heath Leisure centre but the jocks don't like the metallers stinking the place up and vice versa.

• The Coot, formally The Merry Monk has an excellent accoustic session every monday night. The landlord, Brian plays guitar and there are regular visits from local musicans which makes for a very good session. The coot also has live bands a couple of times a month.
• used to be archers, but some idiot put houses outside, and suprise suprise they complained. Broadbridge Heath ain't bad.
• Piries Wine Bar and Broadbridge Heath sports centre aren't bad. Go and see Goat Boy at Piries and hear them do their cover of "What would Brian Boitano do?"!
• Piries has a live act once a week, but they are normally dwarves cos thats the only way they can fit the the band in.
• Time out bar in the Broadbridge Heath leasure centre has quite a few live acts. Be warned some are very good and some are appauling!!!!
• Broadbridge Heath sports centre has bands most weekends.
• just get ur arses to london instead, its so much better
• Battle of the bands in the Carfax once a year. If you're lucky, you might catch the Salvation Army band on a Saturday lunchtime.
• The Queens Head up the Brighton Road always used to back good local bands, so did Piries Wine Bar -> but that was some time ago, now you are stuck with the Tut-n-shive (used to be Horse & Groom).
• Piries bar. Sometimes you can be pleasantly surprised.
• Many pubs. Especially, look out for the Falloons - a local legend the son, Jason has played on tour with Roger taylor of Queen and on two of his albums.
• There is a pagado in the centre of town (the Carfax) where you get the odd brass band playing from time to time, sometimes there are even rock bands, although these tend to use religion as an excuse to vent the musical passion.

Cinemas

• The Capital Theatre in Horsham is ok but I'd rather go to crawley to watch a movie
• capitol, small n expensive, go to crawley instead
• Go to Crawley for this. Horsham's cinema looks like a green house from the front, has hardly any screens and is expensive. Good for plays though, especially Theatre 48.
• There is the old arts centre (forgotten what it is called now since the makeover). Better off going to Crawley.
• horsham had a crap but famus cinema apprently lots of famous peopel performed ad the therer so when they modified it they jsut stuck a giant greenhouse on the front and the queen came and opened it wow
• There is the new capitol cinema which is ok, but to be honest for choice go to UGC in crawley.
• Still havent been to the new cinema. Although I have a mate who works there and often has the evening off coz it's empty!!
• There is the horsham cinema near the council offices. Its pretty crap!
• poky, and overpriced ... and will they please take the scaffold down off the front?!?! oh - they have .... (;O))
• They've spent two years putting a big glass entrance on the front and also a new screen. I think that makes three. Expect Phantom Menace to hit the screens sometime in 2006.
• Should have a brand new one very soon - the Capitol. Otherwise, there's a mega-screen thingy in Crawley.
• give it time, it will be finsihed one day.... however, at the mo, you ahve to go to crawley at the multiplex.
• They're doing the cinema up at the moment so haven't got a clue what it's like, might be good! Would make a nice change. The nearest cinema is Crawley, which, Im sorry to say, is excellent.
• horsham had a o.k cinema but they knocked it down 2 start again and weve been waitin for years! i occassionally go 2 crawley but its way 2 far to travel al the time!

• Shut for referb, probably still have films 2 years after they are released on DVD.
• Horsham Arts Centre. The only cinema in Horsham, and it's very small.
• They are rubbish... as much as it hurts to say it, go to Crawley!
• Films take ages to get to Horsham.Jaws has only just been shown.Some bloke in the queue asked me if i knew what it was about!
• No but Video hire for Choicies and MVC.
• Ha ha, the Arts Centre. Two screens, only one ever open, very small and films are always out of date (got Billy Elliot in May 2001)
• well its going to be rebuilt soon, you might actualy beable to fit in the seats without feeling like a sardine soon!
• Arts centre & cinema closing for refurbishement 2001. Small ten pin bowling alley above Shelleys. Go to Crawley
• If you love being shoe horned into a seat like they used to give you in school and are willing to have a numb arse after about 20 minutes then yes, visit Horshams cinema, otherwise avoid
• Horsham Arts Centre is not bad as a small theatre (especially as my wife plays there regularly in the Horsham Symphony Orchestra).
• HOrsham Arts centre has one small screen. For big flics it will open up the theatre.
• Horsham used to have five cinemas/theatres (1 where the Job centre is, 1 where B52's bar is, 1 where Sun Alliance (St Marks Ct) is, 1 where Marks & Spencer is and 1 where the Arts Centre is); the town now only has 1/2 a cinema in a corner of the Arts Centre. My advice is go to Crawley, Croydon or Brighton or rent the Video.
• Arts Centre. Films tend to come out after you have seen them on video.
• Better go to to the new Virgin Multiplex in Crawley - 6 miles
• No change to Cinemas in Horsham, but there is now a 15 screen Virgin complex in Crawley.
• Not much on offer. Best places to go are the ABC in Crawley or the Virgin in Brighton. The Horsham Arts Centre on North Street does show films. But these tend to be specialist arty efforts. Only the occasional Hollywood blockbuster gets a look in. The only real entertainment Horsham has is its pubs.
• Try the Arts centre, it has 2 Screens
