Musical Instrument Shops and DJ Gear
Horsham Music is pretty good but I normally shop at The Music Company in Crawley, Glen the owner is very helpfull.
There is actually, amazingly, a music shop next to the Horse and Groom, and it ain't that bad.
There is an excellent one on East Street near The Albion pub.
no music shops some in crawley would suggest brighton personally or guildford
Horsham Music in east street are pretty good (they put our posters up anyway)
horsham music shop, pretty good although they have limited space their so not much variety in instruments
there is the horsham music shop near to m&j newsagents which sells music and instruments.
guildford sound and light on the slyfields industrial estatewill match any price on decks / mixers / styli providing you can show some sort of proof
Horsham Music on East St. Expanding soon into the next door unit. Think they're going to start doing a lot more drums and guitars etc. Should be good - Horsham needs it. Bald bloke called Colin does a great job repairing/servicing wind instruments and they've got stacks of sheet music. Nice staff, good honest, friendly advice.
There is a piano shop. I went in for a tinker and after just an hour and a half I was thrown out.
Horsham Music Shop. Owned by my mate Andy, repairs done by my mate Colin and managed admirably by my missus. If you cause any trouble, you will have me to answer to. In the process of being expanded. Oh, and Dave Gilmour is a regular customer (he prefers to be called David by the way).
Horsham Music in East Street, formerly Musique, caters mostly for school music stuff but you can get guitar accessories, strings, picks, tuners etc
there. Its nearly always busy but the staff are patient, knowlegable and friendly.
aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! horsham music shops! what happened to them. have they all vanished? i play the guitar and need my music shops! i would recommend guildford 'andertons' and brighton has a nice big music shop in the town centre.
there are none well desent ones soo Guilford or burgess hill
horsham music in east street , sells instruments and music Andy is very cool too.
What are they, boring classicalists can go to Musique but the trendy people among us would rather be hung drawn and quatered than risk showing up there.
Horsham music (opposite Pizza Express) is great. Repairs/buying music. Have used the resident repair man (C.Jones) all my musical life. Never let me down.
MUSIQUE in East Street - a small shop selling violins, flutes, clarinets... that sort of thing. And it's very good for sheet music. PIANO CENTRE in Queen Street - never been in there but it appears to sell pianos. Obviously. Electronic keyboards can be bought from most big electrical shops but if you're looking for guitars or anything else then go to Crawley.
Yup. Two, one near the iron bridge on the Brighton Road another next to the Horse and Groome
blow ya horn ltd
Horsham does not cater for Rock 'n' Roll types ! Nearest guitar shop is in Crawley.
Vampers, by the iron bridge. There is also a sheet music shop in East Street.
There is a shop in Parkk Terrace East (or is it west) called Vampers who are very helpful. There is a piano shop in Queen Street and a sheet music shop in East Street.
Bandwagon, East street, near the fishing tackle shop (note the maggot
with a 'maggot'of it's own hanging outside the tackle shop).
Nick is the Manager
There is a Guitar Shop on Queen St, near the Kebab Shop, the owner makes some of
electric guitars he sell himself.
Recording Studios, Rehearsal Rooms, PA Hire
There's a new recording studio just opened in Lower Beeding near Horsham, Eversfield studio offer some great deals for local bands and singer songwriters and the location is fantastic! you can check them out at www.eversfieldstudio.co.uk
The only place I've ever heard about is the old TA centre drill hall down denne road
hav my own stuff however there is a plaace in pease pottage that you can hire out.. and some really dodgy places like on peoples farms aavoid those
QM Studios operated by the HDLMA is a brilliant facitity (and i'm not just sayin that because I am part of the hdlma). See www.hdlma.co.uk for full details.
behind drill hall in denne road rehearsal rooms, graham ansell sorts it all out
Drill Hall is proper bo rehearsal rooms. Quick-brew can be seen to play and rehearse there if your very lucky
You can rent out drill hall and tythe barn for events and drill hall has its own recording studio/practice room.
Runway in horley did us £30 for a 2K PA for the weekend ... not the best stuff but fine for a field-party
There's one in Warnham. I have it on good authority that the likes of Black Sabbath have recorded there in its heyday.
QMS Studios is situated in The Quartermasters Store on the old Territorial Army site behind the Drill Hall in Denne Road. Run by the Horsham District Live Music
Alliance. The HDLMA also have a PA for hire. Check out http://www.hdlma.co.uk for details.
