Record Shops
hmv london
A great record shop is in Croydon actually,Beano's.It's seriously old and don't mention that you don't know who Saxon are (or were!) but otherwise it stocks proper records and CD's and limited edition band stuff as well.
go 2 london
Woolworths for the usual badly stocked selection. But Croydon is just up the road on the train where lo and behold Beanos the largest second hand record store in the UK is located.
Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Embassy redhill, everybody mocks but good for a cheap night out usually trouble free, and cab only costs £13 with RoadRunners, but watch out coz they will try and rip you
Otherwise go to Croydon and there are an array of Clubs, but are generally more expensive and more troublesome.
Many clubs! you can party into the nwe millenium by dancing with a bear!
Mmm... There is allways the Embassy Rock bar in Redhill which is good for a laugh and can be very cheesy, but not a serious clubbing spot! Alternative there is the Blue Orchid in Croydon which is a bit out dated but tends to be more prefable than ATLANTIS which has been avoided recently due to a series of quite nasty incidents involving some modern day evil wands (as harry potter would put it). Further still there is always London by train but we won't go into that!
Live Music Venues
wotnots great local band made up of some local hairdressers
A friend of a friend has a band and they've played at Limpsfield Lawn Tennis Club. It's suprisingly good there, and well cheap to get in.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here.
(But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)
You can use the add an event form
to tell us about events happening in Oxted.
Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
