• none really, couple of parks but nowt actually special!

• Council facilities consistently disappoint. Energie, by E. Croydon station, is one of the best and most cost-effective of the private gyms.
• Addiscombe Hockey Club, Croydon - We are a very friendly, sociable club, close to the centre of Croydon. All standards are welcome and expert training is available for all, allowing players to improve their game and rise up through the teams. • Purley Pool was OK, until it burnt down. Water Palace was excellent, but they had to close it just because 1 person gets her hair stuck in the jacuzzi and nearly drowns and is featured on 999, not mention the slippery tiles/death trap.
• Warlingham rugby club-sreious fitness there!

• Croydon Fc who play at the Arena (jump on a Number 1 or 2 tram from East Croydon to Arena station (about 6 stops) and ground is 2 mins walk

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
