• Evan's : If you can afford it Geoffrey Butler's : Even more expensive than Evan's but for advice and top quality professional cycles and gear from here Cycle King for helpful staff, and good prices, but caters mainly for the masses Bonanza Motorcycles : My favourite, I'm always in here for bikes and bits
• Bonanza Bikes. St James's Road (is that the name?) Bloody fantastic. They have masses of gear for your motorbike, and good prices if you wanna new one. MOTs services, bells whistles etc. Ask em for the import price on an new bike and youll wonder why the hell you didnt buy one before. Friendly too

• If you care about quality then Geoffrey Butlers is hard to beat. They even have the bikes that you see on the Tour De France. Their bike repair workshop is great, especially if you keep hitting all the potholes on Croydon's roads and bending your bike out of shape like I seem to keep doing. Obviously all their bikes are person powered!
• ASDA sell bikes now - nice ones too!
• Evans cycles, staff are very friendly, Geoffrey Butlers are o.k as long as you look like you are going to spend shitloads of money and you wear all the gear to resemble Jan Ullrich otherwise you will not even get the time of day.
• People powered: I'd thoroughly recommend FW Evans, opposite West Croydon railway station. The staff are friendly and they always seem to be well stocked.

BMX Trails, Street Spots

• lloyd park has a few dirt ramps in the smaller ditch.
• There is a great trail park just near Beddignton Park in Sutton. It has some really big jumps.
