Clothes Shops, Shoe Shops, Fashion and Bargains
There are so many charity shops in Taunton I'm surprised anyone does any laundry at all.
Why not try out the most popular shop in town among the inbred class, The Donnay Shop aka Sports Soccer. (you can stop laughing now)
The "YE OLDE CLOTHES SHOPPE" in bath place is pretty good for getting the more popular "traditional Somersetian" straw suits, and Bind a Twine belts are on special offer, 5 for a pig etc.
(Look around - This is hardly a place where the concept of fashion is known)
Primark.. Big... cheap and stylish
The Norm. Next, River Island, Ciro, Principles, Burtons etc. Fanatix at the top of town for Surf, Skate and Snow (oh, yay!) Rumour has it there is a fashion shop in St James Place/Riverside Walk area somewhere (no, NOT MAZE!)
There are about 5 million Charity shops,in Taunton, great for a bargain.
Top places for blokes include, Grafitti, and marks and sparks.
Good childrens shops such as Adams, Mothercare etc. also a great new Primark is currently being built, but until then Select is your best bet.
shit loads of crap not including;graffiti, wave games or starr skate shop they're worth checking out.
peaches and margeret kimber ROCK - down bath place!
Debenhams, River Island among others.
Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)
maaan i cant remember the name of that shop, its on east reach near esporta
lots of littel bits and bobs tucked away if you're willing to explore. great little crafty shop thing down the end of bath place, for example....
I am overwhelmed by the courtesy given me and my shop. I often hear the slap of boards coming down the grind curb at Lidl. 15% off for all Boarders, who see this. Frameworx
Not a lot.
TAunton School theatre is very shoddy and not one of there plays should be viewed. EVER
CHECK OUT MAURICE BISHOP'S ON EAST STREET. LOTS OF BEAUTIFUL, UNIQUE ITEMS AND THE TWO BROTHERS THAT RUN IT ARE LOVELY TOO.
Dustyn is a cool guy, and he has a gallery and does framing in Wood Street. His shop is called "Frameworx" he's good at what he does and he also enjoys extreme sports. So when you get your pictures framed you can have a decent conversation too.
In Taunton, anything considered arty is immediatley burned, inclusive of "witches", "warlacks", "imps", and anyother such servant of the devil.
Any thing NOT conservative in its nature must be exiled or burnt - oh, and the world is flat - remember that if you want to survive.
Um, try TOTNES!
Art and craft is seen as a sign of devil worship here, all such instruments are burned before they can claim other victims
Ensor Studios,Comeytrowe Road.
Takes on commissions for virtually any art work. Has worked for numerous famous clients.
the little arts and crafts shop down bath place is lovely, but the one by marks and spencers is SOOOOOOOOO much nicer!
sewing paradise,142,east reach, caters for everyone into needlecrafts, and is kind to design students and novices in general. prides itself in being cheaper than anyone else, but you have to put up with "character" bloody northerner owner-me1
Magazine and Comic Shops
Not many left, Krackers in Bath place was the best comic shop.
Wh smiths or bath place for comics
Yello! This is the 21st centuary!
Krackers in Bath Place (behind the High Street) - it's one of those Dungeons and Dragons type shops.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
