• check out The Way of all Flesh (goth band), Crimes of passion (local rock band) and Red Mosquito (rock covers band)
• Violent Sisters, this band is awsome, i saw them live a few times, and its a full on heavy metal/rock attack, with full on brutal riffs and guitar solo's, an excellent unsigned band, that put on a hell of a show, you gotta check them out at www.myspace.com/violentsisters
• MAEVEN! This band is ace. They are a 5-piece all girl sleazy rock band, and MAN do they rock! If you're in town when they're playing, be sure to catch a show!

• Mark Daynes- aka Original Slacker- a true genius playing at the Green Room & around Manchester. Beautiful voice & great original songs- i like him anyway, as do all my female slackerettes
• There is a very talanted Carribean musician Frank Mason who was working as an office cleaner in the City Centre in the last 4-5 years (and maybe still does?). I think he was recording somewhere on the Wicker (Noah's Arch or something similar jumps to mind...)

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
