Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)
hook up at da clock n scare the grungers
Dunorlan Park - It's wicked in the summer, grab a picnic with your mates, take your dog and spend the whole day soaking up rays, having grass fights and going on the boats. FYI you can take your dog on the pedal boats.
The best place to sit in sunny tunny is in the grove... buy a drink from the compasses, then sit out enjoying the sun... or go to Calverly, where you can drink tea/ eat ice creams all day long courtesy of the funny little cafe they have there. Go on a sunday morning to catch up with all the weekend news and have a well-deserved fry-up.
ahhh back in the dayz i used to hang about with my mates @ the forum (not inside) and laugh at the strange goths that went in with dodgy clothing. they look like ott undertakers
when i was younger i used to hang around @the forum (i am not a grunger) and who ever said "chav's" are sad need to look at themsleves before they judge us.
Dunorlan Park, probably spelt it wrong. Beautiful on a bright sunny day. Place to seriously relax.
the early learnin centre is where da druggies hang out........... dont go there unless u need crack
Ahhhh oh how every one sits on the smelly benches by the forum and the big clock near the shops ...... GO ON BREAK OUT KIDDS ! THE WELLS ARE THE ONLY WAY TO GO ! ( near the offi and pubs ! plus lots of water.....)
the best place to go is the high rocks..the musics good and the djs arnt WANKERS like the rest in t wellls.. its open till 3 and of course theres loads of birds there
The Wellington Rocks! You must climb to the top and keep a look out for the chavs that come and go. Don't slip and let your foot fall in a marsh of rainwater, urine and beer cans though!
Caverly park is a popular spot for the junkies!
the grape vign and bar zia
T wells is a great place to come on a week end there are lots of fit guys hanging around and you can go to the forum on a saturday nite or during the day you can go hang out at calverly and get pissed out of your head . ssoooo cum it great fun
Well I've seen a lot of ppl hanging around the bus stop outside "the body shop" either to look cool or to wait for m8s to go in to spoons with.
Outside the front of RVP, next to Cafe Nero
okay so the corner between twggs and skinners is were all the mettlers stand in the morning thinking they look good with the tip-exed bags and greasy hair - not forgetting the fact that have painted their eyes shut with black makeup.i'd like to take this moment to point out how ugly u look.
THe rocks is the place where the little people go. the ones who think they are "cool" enough to drink, but are still not quite cool enough to make it into any bars or pubs, including the Tavern up by the schools, where ANYONE can get in - but its wicked in there so they would ruin it anyway.
The people who skate aorund the clock are not, i repeat NOT like dung beetles and happen to be talented if u look at the stuff they can do on those skateboards. oh no but u mettlers proabaly couldnt see them thorugh that wonderfully clean hair of yuors - HELLO go find some shampoo you trogs.
And finally the forum. that wondeful cockroach infested converted bog where again, all the little people like to sit outside on friday nights. of course they cant get in, but hey its SOOOOOOO cool to sit outside in the wet grass smoking and looking like death isnt it? DAMN i wish i could be just like them. Damn the fact that i can't look as feminine as you, and Damn the fact that i cant apply make up like u do.and why god, why, did u EVER give me the ability to wash my hair? i bow down to the goths and mettlers - because they truely are.......so so pretty.
The millenium clock, which I actually quite like. Plus saw a chav get arrested for having a piss there, which was entertaining.
The corner shop outside skinners and twggs. It is the perfect meeting place 2 meet new boys and have a fag! Just watch out 4 teachers! Also sitting in costa without buying anything is not recommened unless you want to get thrown out! ( not that i have or ne thing!!)
The Millenium Clock - full of 10-15 year old wannabe's. makes it a pain in the a** to get a coffee in costa's
Calverly Park is good in the summer but if ur a skater/metaller in this weather you wanna hang in costas or the mall- wandering aimlessly around record stores or outside fenwicks wahey!!! In the evenings go to Grove Park or the rocks
The park or "rec" with all the chavs having a fag round the back of the hill
I LOVE THE ROCKS...this place is like, THE place to get totally wasted!!
Just watch out for those damn cracks after consuming excessive amounts of intoxicants!!!
STRICLTY NO CHAVS ALLOWED!!!
Body Shop
Outside the body shop!!
Grove Park
Calverly Park...
Calverly - a place for us to tan ourselves (when there is a hint of sunshine) and gaze at fit (TOPLESS) basketball players, and goregous skaters
The Milennium Clock, the kid above is right the skaters congregate there like dung beetles round shit!A amazing phonomina (well, it would be if i could spell it)!
The step outside Fenwicks in the RVP is where the really cool Kids hang out!(though you may look out of place if you do not come equipped with Puffa jacket and record bag.)
in the summer we hang in calverly, but in this hideous freezing weather we hook-up in costa..............every...............single..................bloody...............day.
Go to Costas in town. Go now go, it has a sofa and good coffee. MMMMmmm. If you can't afford coffee go sit on the benches outside, partiucularly if ur a skater. I think the clock has magic powers because skaters seem mganetically attracted to it!
The Rocks, oh yes the rocks.
I love all the stuff on this page about the pubs and stuff it is all so true. I am a 16 year old female who lives in Tunbridge Wells and I go to Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar School. I go down to the Swam quite a lot because I work as a chambermaid down there, so I am friends with the people behind the bar. The kentish Yeoman is an absoloute hole no one really goes down there apart from the 12 year olds who can't go anywhere else. The white bear or ruperts as the man before me said it was called has now changed into a fucnky new bar callled Barzia which I have been into a few times and I like it a lot. As for Buffalo Bills, that used to be a no go area, because of all the fighting down there, but now it has changed into cassidys with a strict age policy to prevent fights, and underage drinking. The new place in Tunbridge Wells is bar Coast which thrives on teenagers ranging from 16-19. It has live Dj's and is busy from thursday- sunday till late in the eveening
On the Common outside the Forum seems popular in summer. Perhaps it's because they can hear the bands (just) from there without paying.
The Wellington Rocks on the common on a Friday Evening. Not a pub, just an outcrop of sandstone where people tend to gather for no apparent reason. Known to most locals simply as 'The Rocks'. Teenagers only. Bring your own furtive cans of booze.
