PC Arena in colchester opposite the second entrance to the bus station has a room full of networked computers for playing games on.
EB, Game, etc etc - games workshop, a few specialist ones, etc etc.
The men - not boys, who live all day and night in Games Workshop!!
2 GAME outlets as well as GAMESTATION which is excellent for second hand, even retro stuff as old as the original NES
game in culavar square
Not a bad collection of games shops. There's a second-hand one in Lion Walk that doesn't seem too bad.
Interactive boasts a dodgy bloke called Tony, who once told me in the Hippo hes the man!, suprising since he is only 15
Electronix Boutique, Lion Walk bit near Miss Selfridges and Dixons = good second hand deals but you might be fleeced on new games, because they're such a big firm. Try Beatties near Andys Records because they usually have more stock and lower prices.
Games Master on Eld Lane caters for freaks who play Dungeons and Dragons.
Oops - probably offended a few thousand surfers there...
Interactive Consoles (Red Lion Walk) good for 2nd hand shit + try before you buy option given. But biggest selection in Our Price.
LAN Parties, Tournaments, LAN Game Cafes, WiFi Meets, PSP/DS Meets
picassos is meant to be ok, but my fave is the internet cafe near peacocks and sainsburys, especially as it does a bloody brill milkshake!
Compacinno in priory walk
there is an internet cafe opposite peacocks i think
Skeleton Coast has the best Milk shakes in Colchester. You can also get all board stuff there. They opening a games lounge and chill out place in Jan 05.
Opposite the bus station exit is PCArena. Not bad place, used to go there but don't bother with pc's anymore. 24computers and you play each other at a variety of games. Well priced, and they sell computers and parts also.
Pc Arena / The Computer Store (the LAN is aobve the Store)
14 Queen Street, Colchester, CO1 2PJ - 01206 54 29 05
24 high spec. gaming machines in a themed room. Dark lighting effects, big screen displays, Chill-Out Zone with projector display showing gaming videos and recent events/ tournies. National leagues and regular prizes.
Excellent, busy atmosphere for friendly gamers to frag themselves stupid. As much fun as you can handle for £2.50/hour or
£10 all-day.
Call Zammo, Grippa or Callidus on 01206 54 29 05/51 for more information.
The Computer Store (PC Arena) in Queen Street, (opp bus station) provide great LAN parties for both kids and adults and, if you're up to it, all-night tournaments. The staff are very helpful too.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
