Skateboarding Spots
Nowhere the council knocked the bowl down and din't build anythin to replace it like they said they would
THE BOWL IS GONE!!!!!!!
there should b a sk8park in queens rd soon.
failing that try wensum way kerbs or the bt depot
The bowl has now been filled in, for reasons unknown.
THE BOWL IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!
but the council should b building a small sk8park at the playground in queens road.
untill then try the mr chips bank/steps/flatland or the junior school and the high scools quite good 2.
The bowl is gone! and its a sad thing but its now dissapeared good places now r the millenium park which is smooth and has a couple of ramps or just around wensum way estate on the kerbs and smooth tarmac.
council have now closed bowl due to insurance regulations and vanalism.hoping to get new skate park but could take some time as pace of life(and town council) is a bit slow here.
As I said, The skate bowl. At the end of bridge street, behind Fakenham Tyres & Exhausts
Apart from the bowl you could try the new housing estates, safeway
car park after hours
Still there, still good condition, great fun, same modules as Kennington
and Meanwhile II, with four square flat blocks in the middle - 31/3/1999
The bowl is still there, in excellent condition
(better than Kennington) and really friendly locals
and skaters from around Norfolk. Skating in afield with no traffic
noise and views of fields is kinda cool - definately worth a road
trip if your in the area.
Safeway, outskirts of town
Just before bridge going in from Dereham. Turn right at Motor Mechanic + Tyre place: Old Edgware Road bowl. Banks are excellent for street tricks: a bench is fixed to the top on one side. Campsite nearby. Locals are friendly, but hardly ever use the bowl. Council said to be worried about park in '96 now that they own it and have to insure it. Maybe they should contact other councils with pukka parks such as Livingston?
Skateboard Shops
There was one, run by a bloke called Phil & his brother. There is the skate bowl, not sure how much skating gets done there though...
Yes! Slightly out of the town centre disguised as a house. Daily Grind, run by Phil Hallett, cantact him on 01328 856860
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
