• The Church in Pont-yr-hyl is wonderful, not only for its looks on the outside but for the absolute beauty of the inhabitants in it (particularly the handsome fella who goes to Archbishop)
• Nolton Church - any place of worship that features Mickey Mouse in the stained glass windows gets my vote (stand at the dual carriageway end at sunset - look up at top left part of right hand window - bostin').
• The Wyndham Arms... it so nearly perished! Thank the Lord it was spared.
• Well, it ain't really a building, as such, but the old stoney bog near the Railway station is a classic.
• THE SCHOOL I WENT TO IN BETTWS, IT BURNED DOWN NOT LONG AFTER I LEFT THERE AND NOW ITS REBUILD, IT'S QUITE NICE NOW HONEST

• The Old Courthouse, recently renovated and looking for Office tenants. An attractive glass/steel meets Victorian brickwork landmark.
• Ogmore castle and "The Three Golden Cups" pub in Southerndown.
• The old Police headquarters... beautiful piece of architecture.

Demolish It Now Building

• The building we'd all like to see flattened is of course the loverly HYPER! Full,of its spikey, baggy trousered boys and its spiral haired, eyeliner lovers! How the hell is it still open!
• Bridgend. DEMOLISH IT ALL....NOW!!! People who are reading this and considering coming here should take my advice and join a campaign to see the place demolished.
• Council Offices. Make sure the Mayor is in there
• Council offices- preferably with the council still inside. We have the worst County Council in the country. They lost some thing like £80million last year!!!! We pay more than other places in tax but get a buch of geriatric dictators to run the place! Save your money and live in the Middle East!

• The Rhiw/Brackla Street Car Parks, Brynteg's new Science Block (It looks like a blamonge) The Bingo Hall and the terracing at the Brewery Field.

• Bryntyrion Comprehensive School!!!!!Demolish it now for the sanctity of the earth.for what grows there is scary to say the least.The girls there also provide reason,in the form of flump loving angu,Woooo obsessed Kate and under the thumb Nonny!!!Please,for the love of God knock this building down,turn it into a hospital for the people inside or put the people inside in some kind of hospital(hopefuly in a room with white cushions!).
• Every other school in the area apart from Archie McG, coz it rocks!!! Beware though of the mysterious pregnancy epedemis taking a grip on the School. Most other schools are full of tossers, but some in A.McG are: Savile, who is depriving some village of its idiot and ..... oh well just the one then!!!!
• Most schools of the area are in need of flattening, I know there will be a out cry of "What about the education of our childern?"- to that I answer teach them your selves! Anyway, Brynteg, please oh please, let this be the first to be removed from the sky line of Bridgend. It has an abnormal amount of GINGER teachers and pupils, most of the pupils are homophobic, ALL BRYNTEG RUGBY BOYS MUST ALSO BE LOCKED INSIDE THE SCHOOL DURING IT BEING DEMOLISHED!!!!!!!! Once this has been done only then will Bridgend be a safe place to live again. Other schools that in need of being flattened are A.B.McG. comprehensive school, hopefully with the pupil inside it, as it currenty seems to be the biggest breeding ground in South Wales! Certain pupils who should be taken down with the school are - (by first name only they should know who they are!!!!) ALUN (son of local Chinesee take-away owner), CARL (of Prices Candles, The Pines), MAVIS (Glass collecter in the Roof), RIMRON (the ginger one), BURKIE (the irish one), JEETO (the strange one), SAV (the giant) and RHYS! Please if you do not knock down Bryntirion Comp. will you please sack the head teacher Dai Barry!!!! Thank you for taking your time to read this important information - remember the futher of Bridgend depends on this!

• I LEFT BETTWS 10 YEARS AGO AND THEY WHERE REBUILDING THE HOUSES THERE THAN, AND THEY ARE STILL AT IT! I REMEMBER A BLOCK OF HOUSES ACTUALLY FELL AT NIGHT WHILE THEY WHERE STRIPPING IT DOWN. SAVED THEM TIME I BET.

• Bryntirion Comprehensive school. Although slightly smaller than its nearest counterpart, Brynteg, Bryntirion is by far the better educational institution, for the sole reason, we have a swimming pool, and an extrodinarily fat selection of head teachers.
• Bryntirion is so much better than Bryteg. Brynteg is full of townies, beware.
• The people (the town itself is an embarrassment). Also very close proximity to the sea and the hills/valleys. As my Gramps used to say, '[Bridgend] is a dirty picture in a golden frame'. Bless him.
• * The new bridge between Pen-y-fai and Wildmill. I like it, anyway. And don't tell me, Miss Lynn, that St. Patrick's is in Litchard. * Price's, definitely. The Pines wouldn't be the same. Great staff, too. Especially that tall, good-looking dark-haired bloke. Aye, 4 real!
• IN BETTWS? THE PEOPLE, THE FRIENDS, THE ADVENTURES IN THE WOODS WHEN I WAS YOUNG, THERE WAS ALWAYS A SWING IN A TREE DOWN STARLING WOOD ANY ONE REMEMBER? IS IT STILL THERE? BOY I MISS IT NOW!!!!

• Archbishop McGrath school! Nevamind Brynteg, Brytirion or any of the other Minner Centrals, Archie is da place 2 B. Eugene is da boss.
• The best thing about living in Bridgend is deffinately the amount of lookalikes that we have in the area. Now, we'll start with the best and wotk our way down. Firstly, there's a very special man who goes mad if you shout Paul Daniels, you all know who i mean (Traffic Warden). Secondly, there is the guy who works in the old Dunn & Co (The one with the Eddie Murphy laugh)! Also recently i have spotted Noel Edmunds working in Burtons! Please enter your own lookalikes in the near future.
• Several pubs are licensed until 1 or 2am. The beach is only 3 miles away. Bridgend folk are usually friendly and always up for a good time! The McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village is pretty good. The M4 is only about 2 miles from Bridgend - you can be in London in 2 hours and get to anywhere in the country easily! Bridgend in on the edge of the Vale which is a beautiful area, lots of small pretty villages, good country pubs and windy lanes. Worth a visit.

• Craig Hillman i don't know where he lives exactly but a friend of mine said it was near brynteg. He is very cute and has a sexy smile, tight little but you just wanna squeeze, and he has a huge **** he always has a massive bulge in his trousers and i wouldn't mind seeing it up close. Craig look in my eyes there's no disguise cos i'm in love with you. Finally found what i've been looking for now i'm gonna love you more now it's clear that it's alway been you (Honeyz, Finally found)

• Brackla Baptist Church, the fastest growing church in South Wales (started 1996)
• I used to live in pen y bont and Brynteg is by far the best school and much better than Bryntirion
• Speaking as a former pupil of the school, Brynteg kicks the **** out of anything Bryntyrion does and regularly stuffed them at everything. I'll say one thing for the Bryntyrion school though, it has produced some of the coolest people I know.
• The best thing in Bridgend is the gorgeous Bloke who works in Mend-a-shu, go in and have a look, they also do really good signs and stickers for shops and cars, and they are reasonable too, not like Paul Hoopers or the others around.
• I feel compelled to write in and finally solve the arguement over which school is better, Brynteg or Bryntirion? Well, let me now solve this rather silly and futile dispute. After being a student in both schools, I have to admit that sadly, Bryntirion is by far the better school. This is however, not probably for the reasons you might think, and please, read on before you withdraw your children from Brynteg. The reason is this, Brynteg has too many God Damn GINGER teachers, one in particular who is in a position of authority. How can a school be any good if they put a GINGER bloke, a rather pathetic ginger bloke in such a high position and expect the school to be taken seriously? I must add however, that if the governers of Brynteg were to actually take all the GINGER teachers to the wonderfull Mr. Roderick's Chemistry lab, and using the wonderful, substance hydrogen peroxide, actually bleach the hair on these social outcasts/misfits, then Brynteg would undoubtedly be the better school. >From one who knows, and has spent many DAYS thinking about this.

• Bridgend College is a must for anybody embarking on a long term strategy to escape Bridgend!! The Business School, now headed by Rob Evans, is the best around, and enabled me to move on the greater and better things!!! Just look at Sian Lloyd for example, the ITV weather girl, he got out, via Bridgend Colllege.
• Beer, Curry, Rugby.
• Brynteg is the best school in Bridgend
• Bridgend RFC, produces all best players.
• The best event is Bridgend Beer and Balloon Festival which is an annual event. You can drink lots of beer and then do a Bungee Jump!
• I think that Brynteg Comprehensive School is far better than Bryntirion School.

• Southerndown beach is about three miles away; good waves for surfing.

The Worst Things

• In reply to someone's comment about the lack of gay pubs....you obviously don't klnow your stuff, mate. Go to the Three Horseshoes, bebe.
• Little mouthy kids that think they're hard! I was never as gobby as these little pr*cks when I was a kid man!
• Bigotry and nationalism that runs thick through the majority of the residents.

• One of the worst things in this area is the hole known as bryntyrion comprehensive school,it is mainly feared because of its inhabitants!On top of this list are Angharad(famous for her obsession with custard powder and and fur),Kate(famous for her broom and woooo)and Rhianon-and on and on and on.....

• Car parking charges within the town is driving people out of the town centre and up to the Pines.

• Brynteg and it shit-head pupils. I was bullied ever since year 7 because i didn't quite fit in. I'M GAY AND I'M PROUD. It's taken my years to be able to say that and now i can i'm not going to let some tosser like Andrew davis, Blair Fraiser or Mark "what a wanker" Girdelstone make me think i'm not as good as them. So to all the other gay pupils in brynteg who have come out or are too scared to come out. Hold on in a few years you'll leave that pile of shit behind and then people will start to respect you for who you are. While those of you who bully us, later, when people are respecting my people, you wil have no respect beacuse people will see you for the cruel bunch of tossers that you are.
• Coach loads of people from the Valleys come down on the weekend. Some are well behaved, unfortunately some are not and cause loads of problems, fights and vandalise the toilets. Shame. The parking fees are exorbitant - Bridgend Council are the pits - it's cheaper to park in the centre of Cardiff!
• The new traffic system at the bottom of the new distributor road. Why did they do it? Complete pants.

• Bridgend seems to attract people who think their better than the people living in the valleys. The town's too small for the population. Our pathetic council
