Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)

• William Penn Leisure Centre carpark: Seems to attract a lot of young people wielding bottles of the good ol' White Lightening. If you walk your dog there on a saturday morning be warned...step over the steaming chunks of last nights binge. Aquadrome: Also affectionately referred to as the 'aqy'. Lots of groups of people sitting around a huge lake communicating with each other via lighters. Strange but true. Rickmansworth Station Waiting Room: Possibly THE most intimidating place to be on an evening. Young ladies of a certain generation 'starting' on anything ranging from other young ladies to pot plants. Rickmansworth Park: Many a cherry has been picked here, so to speak.
• Car park at William Penn - great bit of tarmac!
• The ally down by Vantage Chemist!
• The bowling Green, behind the youth club always people up there getting up to many a thing! the youth club opposite the council offices, also popular for these untoward activites!
• Ricky Park field, watch out for all the broken glass by the tree.
• Telephone boxes, post office boxes, tennis courts in meadow way and any street corner
• The Aquadrome
• Comet is realy no good for skateboarding!! long island is a bit mhhh .... crap! to much US" of " a for my liking other than that it's a kicking place. good pubs, good food, and the M25!!!
• The swings beside the aquadrome entrance - near Nightingale Road.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
